What did you learn to drive in?

A Skoda Fabia 1.4 was around y reg or maybe a 51 plate, cant remember as he had a private plate on it. was a nice car. I then did pass plus in his Clio 1.5d which was slow compared to the skoda

Main car was a Peugot 206 1.9d, but whilst that was in the garage I drove a 1.0l micra, although I was mighty impressed with myself I managed to wheelspin it. :D

My instructor used a 5dr Ford Escort 1.6LX, 'G' reg. (new at the time).

I remember it was very gutless for a 1.6 in a car that size.

A 1961 Ford Prefect. I'm 28 for reference so it was 36 years old when I learned.

Provided an interesting comparison, at least :p Especially with the white one being an auto!

3 different Toyota Yaris', thek kept developing niggling errors so he kept sending them back. Good bloke my driving instructor, Terry he was called.

Clio 1.2 petrol (old shape, P reg) with my driving instructor and a horrible, F reg, 1.8 non-turbo diesel Escort estate. I did manage to leave the Escort in third and not stall it a couple of times though :p.

1.5D clio, wasnt a bad little car, didnt like the field of vision i got from the drivers seat. I actually took my test in a skoda fabia due to the clio going in for repairs one day b4! i also went out to practise manoveurs in my 1.4 corsa with my mum.

I learnt in a 1.7td corsa hated the thing, everytime you put the sun visor thing up and it hit the roof sounded like the car was gonna fall apart, same goes for when you closed a door. It's a totally horrible car compared to driving the mazda 626 :p

1.5 dci Renault Clio
Tata Loadbeta pickup
2.5 tdi VW Transporter LW (long wheelbase) - always fun to see peoples expressions at school when they saw it (with L plates on was best) :p

I learned in a Daewoo Matiz. Crappy little car with stupidly light steering, which made it a doddle to drive.

Two hour lessons were a drag tho and i have no idea how my instructor could spend all day sitting in there as the seats were anything but comfortable.

Seat Arosa 1.0 in Noddy yellow. It was about as slow as my 1.4 8V Astra, but a bit more 'fun' to drive.

I did get 1/2 price lessons because my best mate's mum taught me
