What do you do when your bored at work?

I've learnt that if I'm bored at work, then I try and do something productive. Examples include organising inbox, help someone, fix something.

If this persists, then I'm probably re-doing my CV and looking for another job.

Wise words my fellow Liotta.

Boredom means you're either in a job thats way below you (i.e you could be doing more for more ££) or you're just not doing the job correctly.

As clichéd as it may sound, I simply am too busy to become "bored". My day will consist of going into a property to test the electrics and do any repairs that are required.

This must be done as quickly as possible so that a new tenant can move into the property. Once this is complete, I move onto the next one.

Boredom is not the issue, it's keeping myself motivated, although a lack thereof could lead to . . . boredom :D

I agree, having downtime is god awful boring. Like I said earlier I fill the time with educating myself in my discipline, not work, but not lazy either. All just part of a project based job.

Well I am in nursing and I can assure you I have no time to be bored.
People like you are the lazy and time wasting people that make eveyone elses job 10x harder

Not sure if looking for a reaction?

The majority of people here I'd imagine are I.T. based, and it can evidently (based on this thread) sometimes be the nature of the job.
