Being a typical lazy student, i always used to get up late (10:30) ish and not feel at all like eating much. Everything tasted sickly and very sweet, so all i would have is a cup of tea and wait till lunch. Repeat this process over a matter of years and the prospect of eating a 'proper' breakfast goes out the window. Like most student, no real routine meant things just happened as and where!
However, since having to sort of get myself together once i started proper employment a few years ago, having breakfast is by far the
most important meal of the day. Getting up early is the key i think. Having to be up and ready relatively early for work means you really need the boost of energy from a breakfast, and now i feel the same 'sicky' feeling if i
dont eat breakfast! At weekends the routing takes a sidestep, and i tend to have a nice later breakfast at about 11 or so, but once the working week starts again, your back into it.
Being a student has its advantages, but also makes you really quite unhealthy, and puts you into bad routines that can last years. Quite a generalisation i know, but it's true
Anyway, i either have toast + strawberry (seedless) jam, or toast + lemon curd
. Lots of lovely sugar and goes well with a cuppa. Failing that, i'll happily have some crunch nut cornflakes, or some golden nuggets. At weekends i tend to have a good ol' fry up
