What do you have for breakfast?

I have a protein packed breakfast. It usually contains

2x Fried Eggs
2x Maple Cured Bacon
2x Specialty Sausages
1x Chicken Breast

All the meat comes from my local butchers, the sausages are different all the time and are all hand made, and are not full of crap. :)

cereal bar and an apple on weekdays when driving to work.

On weekends bacon butty or toast, or cereal or porridge if i'm making some for the kids.

Being a typical lazy student, i always used to get up late (10:30) ish and not feel at all like eating much. Everything tasted sickly and very sweet, so all i would have is a cup of tea and wait till lunch. Repeat this process over a matter of years and the prospect of eating a 'proper' breakfast goes out the window. Like most student, no real routine meant things just happened as and where!

However, since having to sort of get myself together once i started proper employment a few years ago, having breakfast is by far the most important meal of the day. Getting up early is the key i think. Having to be up and ready relatively early for work means you really need the boost of energy from a breakfast, and now i feel the same 'sicky' feeling if i dont eat breakfast! At weekends the routing takes a sidestep, and i tend to have a nice later breakfast at about 11 or so, but once the working week starts again, your back into it.

Being a student has its advantages, but also makes you really quite unhealthy, and puts you into bad routines that can last years. Quite a generalisation i know, but it's true ;)

Anyway, i either have toast + strawberry (seedless) jam, or toast + lemon curd :D. Lots of lovely sugar and goes well with a cuppa. Failing that, i'll happily have some crunch nut cornflakes, or some golden nuggets. At weekends i tend to have a good ol' fry up
