Bit of a cheat, as it's best served in a toasted teacake or currant bun, but: Sliced strong cheddar, mango chutney & slices of apple.

Those cheap bread based pizza's from asda or tesco. The small ones. Mustard on one piece of bread and salad cream or ketchup on the other. Pizza sarnie.

Why does all food combination rationale go out the window where sandwiches are concerned?!

I love simple cheddar and pickle, egg and pickle (try it, it's awesome), stuffing and cranberry sauce (one of my favourites) and marmalade (all on crusty white bread).

There's a great bakery in Strutton Ground, Westminster who do a turkey, brie, spinach and tomato sandwich or baguette. Really fresh and a great combination.
