What do you need for a SCSI setup?

Are there no basic windows SCSI drivers apart from the manufacturers that can be slipstreamed, I dont think the drivers are available on the website?

heres a hdtach graph for my 2 15k cheetahs (ST318453LW) in raid 0

its the access times what really give these drives the edge over the raptors

the 2 drives + cable and adaptec 39320R worked out at about £120, slipstreamed drivers onto the windows cd so no problems when installing

pretty mush limited by the pci bus and all stuff running off it (tv card, lan etc)

Pretty much?! That PCI bus must be maxed to the hilt .

Thanks guys, I think I'll tell my friend to go 68pin then and to look for a 15k drive or does it matter whether its 15 or 10k? What is the average transfer rate of your Maxtor Atlas Jeff?

15k is faster than 10k and it will make a pretty big difference, like the 10k Raptors to the 7.2k standard drives on SATA
