What does everybody do here?

I'm a trainer, although lately the scope of that has become rather broad wroth me dipping everything from creating e-learning, video production and doing a great deal of work with Salesforce.

I'm a trainer

Me too :D

I run a company that specialises in engagement analytics for online learning. Helping understand when students are and aren't engaged in courses online and the efficacy of content, using facial expression recognition and machine learning to understand what engagement looks like for each individual.

I also contract on the side to ensure I can keep money in the bank as we're only a year old and just launching our products.

Pretty interesting and varied mix here, lots of IT (I guess should be expected).

I'm a pilot with a major British airline, a job I love as it involves mostly looking out of the window.

My job title is Senior Project Engineer.

I work for a communications company and work on the telecoms side of the projects. The bulk of my work is therefore design, build and installation of said telephone systems. This can be anything from a small system using ISDN2 lines and a basic Control unit, to a big esxi install running two or three servers that run the phone system and any add on applications (remote phones, call recording etc).

Job can be stressful when sales do a poor job, but I do get to see some of the world. In the past 12 months I have been to San Francisco, Philly, DC, New York, Lagos, Port Harcourt, Tokyo, Berlin and Geneva to name most :)

Been there nearly 8 years now and started off as a first line support lackey!

2nd line support for a University in London. Only just started recently but will look to make the move up to 3rd at some stage, studying fairly hard to join the folks at Sysadmin/Exchange one day. Ah.

What BI technologies?

I suppose I'd be a BI Implementation Constant, but I'm generally just labelled as a Consultant in the technology stack we specialist in, and get deployed into various roles depending on the client/project. Currently I'm a Lead Developer, but I've also been an Infrastructure Consultant, Solution Architect, Infrastructure Architect, Tester, Analyst, Developer, and Trainer.

A guy I work with terms it being a "Solutioneer", which is pretty apt.

I know I am not one of the ones you quoted, but prior to my DBA days I was a DataStage designer/developer. This was for pretty much the full solution: solution design, dev, test, environment management and production support. I've also dabbled with Informatica, Ab Initio and Warehouse builder. As a DBA I now support people who use BI technologies in trying to achieve efficient extracting and loading from/to databases.

Which technologies do you use?

Oh, and I think Solutioneer is a great fit too! :)
