hi any chance you could share what your nest schedules look like?

I've been battling to get the heating right in my place
I believe that 19C is the best temperature now


what does your schedule look like?
 
Here's mine, figured it's easier to just stick a screenshot in.

It's probably warmer than most but i like walking around in shorts and t-shirts

I simplified mine today I think.

btw 13C at night lol my eco is set at 17.5c
 
Christ. Do you not melt?

I'm hot in the night as it is! Although we have been saying it's pretty cold for the dogs and have debated putting it a bit higher. It's tempting to switch to Hive so i can get individually controller valves so i can leave the radiator by their beds high and leave the rest of the house cold.

in my place at 13c i dont even think the nest will ever turn on.

I got all radiators on slightly lower in the bedrooms
19c seems to work here.
 
Mon - Fri
7:15 - 19C
8:15 - 10C
17:45 - 19C
21:00 - 16.5C

So it's essentially off between 8:15 and whenever it needs to start heating up to be ready to be 19C at 17:45.

Sat & Sun
10:00 - 18.5C
21:00 - 16.5C
 
We're Tado rather than Nest, but generally speaking:

00:00 - 05:30 = 15ºC
05:30 - 06:30 = 20ºC
06:30 - 17:30 = 18ºC
17:30 - 22:00 = 20ºC
22:00 - 00:00 = 18ºC

I tweak as needed, so will say have the downstairs at 10ºC overnight, but have the bedrooms as per the above schedule, and wife will turn things on when working from home.
 
Wife and myself work from home Mon-Fri. Also have a 4 year old so don't want it to drop too low over night.

7am - 18.5
9am - 16
5-30pm - 20
10pm - 17
I don't allow learning anymore so if someone wants to bump it up it doesn't change the schedule. I also only allow 1 hour for pre-heating.
Every house is different mine is old and large so the rooms cool quicker than where the Nest is and it can take a while for the heat to make itself felt at the Nest.
If I lived in a super insulated modern house I would have probably come up with a different schedule, more learning, maybe more freedom on pre-heating.

So in practice heating comes on a 6am and keeps on till 7-30am to reach target temp. Also night time temps in room can fall below 17 before heating kicks in.
 
I'm sure i dont need most of those points on the schedule but hey its a 4 bed detached in the country so it gets a bit chiller than a city house and to be fair the boiler usually switches off at 8pm if not before thanks to pre heating and doesnt come back on till it starts the preheat for 19C in the morning. also the section where it jumops from 16c to 19.5 back to 16 c again the bolier hardly comes on if i dont have the little one at home it would justt be left at 16c throughout the day

Edit, that cleaned up one is better. Tbh mine looked a bit mental the first few weeks when its learning and you keep adjusting it.

Out of interest what are your average daily figures for hours used mine varys from 4 1/2 to like 2 in the last week

Pretty much the same as myself, in Glasgow so the outside temp maybe slightly lower than yours. Eco mode set for when i am away, and I turn the heat on about 40 minutes before I get back into the house.
Dont know if the schedule should turn from eco mode to heat mode when Im away, but it doesn't for mine...

What even is that?

You need at maximum 6 dots in a day I use 4 and you have triple that. In fact most should be able to get away with 2 dots. A daytime temp and a overnight temp.
