What film did you watch last night?

Invictus.

An enjoyable film but probably my least favourite C. Eastwood film to date.

The rugby scenes were a bit naff and amtt damon was probably miss-cast as the legendary Francious Pienaar

Big Fish

Finally got round to watching it and thought it was good and I like those old fashioned story telling films. Also pretty damn emotional in the end although it did feel like the pacing went off somewhat near the end.

7.5/10

Just watched what I think is my first Hitchcock film - Vertigo. The central twist was brilliant, really well done. James Stewart was really sinister in the second half, very creepy.

Dear God man!
Watch them, all. The mans a genius.
Such is his genius I'm sure I read somewhere that after making North by Northwest only 8 minutes of footage ended up on the cutting room floor.

Yeah, I've got a couple more of his on my PVR and some more in my Lovefilm queue. I'll get there ;)

I'm excited for you.
Last experience I had like that was watching 12 Angry Men in the last year, so rarely are those great discoveries made.

Watched Audition, a good horror movie very disturbing at times. 7.9/10

Also not a movie as such, but I finished watching The Pacific. Superb series, lived up to the hype for me :). 9.5/10

Robin Hood.

Complete crap in every single way, I'd go as far as saying the film is that bad it offended me. :p

Swordfish on Blu Ray through my new fancy home cinema kit :)

Entertaining film but a bit disappointed with the soundtrack as it's only Dolby Digital 5.1. This film is screaming out for at least a DTS but ideally a lossless DTS HD. Still I'd forgotten about that once Halle Berry appeared :D

Movie 8/10
Blu Ray 7/10

Alice in Wonderland.

Didn't really like it, although it got better as it went on i didn't really have a clue what was going on at the start.

Not sure if i like Tim Burton tbh

Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
9/10

First film I ever saw at the cinema so kinda have a special fondness for it, bought the 30th Anniversary Collectors edition on Blu-ray a while ago and just got round to watching it.
Oh those halcyon days! :)
