What film did you watch last night?

Better Man (2024)

I'm not a massive Robbie fan, but I've been to loads of shows with my wife and I do like enough of his songs to sit and watch this with her.

To my surprise it's actually a good film, the idea of making him appear as a monkey is very effective. It reminded me of Rocket Man (2019) in they way it had staged musical numbers interspersed throughout the film, with benefit of Robbie singing the vocals. It's funny and sad in equal measures and even if you're not a fan, it's still a very watchable film.

Surviving Black Hawk Down (Netflix).

A very interesting account of the battle that took place in Somalia back in October of 1993.

It also features responses by members of the community (men/women/soldiers).
 
Captain America 'Brave new world' - Not very brave or new, totally formulaic. 5/10


Heart Eyes - Acceptable slasher movie that shows promise but loses it way halfway through for me 6/10.
