What film did you watch last night?

How To Train Your Dragon - Really surprised at how good this was. It had slipped under my radar when it was out, and it was only because of people's praise on here that I rented it. We liked how cat-like the Night Fury dragon was. The landscapes were absolutely beautiful as well.

Insidious 6/10
Started well but just felt it lost its way a bit...

Monsters

i was looking forward to this thinking it had some good reviews but was hugely disappointed , its boring and you get that feeling that you have seen this all before!

4.5/10

I really liked monsters. Thought It was brilliantly done. Disliked the chap in it but i really enjoyed the interaction between them. The 'monsters' were more like something that happened in the background. The real story was them. Very good

Candy - 7.5/10 Great film, really had me torn up throughout. I never realised this was only made a couple years before Heath Ledger died.

i startred to watch film called the frankenstein syndrome but turned it off after 10 mins cos it was pap, ditto that with a film called fright flick

ended up watching the boy in the striped pyjamas - 7/10

Finally finally watched Eden Lake and thought it was about a 6-7/10. Pretty savage film at times, quite believable story knowing it could happen, perhaps not to that extent but there will always be times when people feel totally intimated and threatened by hooded yoofs !! They will damage property, you and anything else without them thinking of the consequences of their actions.

Recently watched Nicholas Cage's new movie Drive Angry and what a movie it was.

My first thought was:

Which was quickly confirmed by the conventional acting skills displayed by Mr Cage sporting his new floppy mop-top haircut.

On the plus side Amber Heard brings hotness in a movie to a whole new level:

So, from my own point of view this movie scores 10/10
Remove the above epitome of all things hot and and I'd give it a score 1/10 and that one would be purely down the the effort given to provide the extremely ropey CGI effects!

The company men, I'm not convinced. the movie never made you believe in their situation and a plot that telegraphed its path.
By no means a bad film an worth a watch, i guess i was expecting a film more akin to Wall Street.

Weirdly just watched this myself...

The Company Men 8/10

Really enjoyable watch, with some great acting. Depicts pretty accurately what being **** canned is like, despite the fact it's a pretty 'feel good' movie. Definitely worth a watch.
