What film did you watch last night?

Only 8.5, that film has to be at least 9.5 if not 10. That and kill point are the best bank films/ well kill point is a series but still.

I think perhaps a 9 would be fairer thinking about it.

One thing I really love is right at the end....well, at the start of the credits. That Denzel/clapperboard shot... so cool. If anyone can find it on youtube I'd be most grateful!

Inside Man
8.5/10 - Love this film. So good. Was on the TV last night and once I started watching I couldn't stop.

I also caught this last night, had to be up early for work but thought this may put me to sleep since it finished late (was watching it on the +1 channel). It had me up right until the end, was a good film and I'd give it 8/10. :)

Barney's Version - Paul Giamatti is excellent as a self centred TV producer who tries to get and keep everything he wants. I was entertained and quite moved with this Canadian film. 4/5

Silly fact - the Mountie in the TV soap that he produces is played by Paul Gross, who played Benton Fraiser (the Mountie) in Due South.

Paul - 6.5/10

I really enjoyed the film and some of the funny bits were great. I expected a twist of some sort but it was all too easy hense the score.

I finally got around to watching Kick-Ass. Brilliant film, especially Hit Girl with her knowledge and use of weapons. :D

I watched The Shining again, 3rd time this year, can't get it out of my head for some reason, even bought the book to try and learn more about it and watched loads of analysis on youtube. lol

I watched The Jacket last night. Brilliant film! 9/10 for me. Wanted it to go on longer!

A Gulf war veteran is wrongly sent to a mental institution for insane criminals, where he becomes the object of a Doctor's experiments, and his life is completely affected by them.

I would say it's one of Keira Knightley's best roles too. Check it out.

Just watched, you're right it's great :D

Pandorum

Two astronauts (Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster) awaken in a hyper-sleep chamber aboard a seemingly abandoned spacecraft. It's pitch black, they are disoriented, and the only sound is a low rumble and creak from the belly of the ship. They can't remember anything. Who are they? What is their mission? With Lt. Payton staying behind to guide him via radio transmitter, Cpl. Bower ventures deep into the ship and begins to uncover a terrifying reality. Slowly the spacecraft's shocking, deadly secrets are revealed, and the astronauts find their own survival is more important than they could ever have imagined.

3/10
To say it is a rubbish start is an under statement, took me three attempts to watch it. It does get better and I actually like the ending. But its still a terrible film and worth avoiding.

Akira - 9/10 - Watched last saturday at the Barbican Cinema. Great seeing the film remastered in HD and on the big screen, one of my all time favourites. I thought the music was particuarly immense!

Black Swan - a good film with an outstanding performance from Natalie Portman. Don't be put off by the story, see it for her performance.
