What film did you watch last night?

The Wanderers
I've seen this quite a few times in the past although it has been quite a few years since I last saw it.
A rare score for me... 10/10
Fantastic.

Don't Breathe (2016) 6/10

I was REALLY looking forward to this, I loved the Director's reboot of the Evil Dead in 2013 and the media train seemed to be trumping this film as the next big ' scare'.

It was so so. It had a couple of really cheap jump moments, but beyond that I didnt really feel on edge at all whilst watching it. The supposed 'WTF' moment :

Blind man pumping his semen via a turkey baster into a captive girl to produce a baby to replace the child he lost

just didnt give me the WTF feeling the Director I presumed was going for. Maybe though this is more of a review of my numbness to a lot of this stuff now rather than the film.

Overall it was 'ok', which in effect resulted in me feeling let down.

Solaris - sci-fi with George Clooney trying to make you think a bit about life and all that. It was OK, not the best and probably I should have watched the Russian original. Natascha McElhone does have amazing eyes though. 3/5
I haven't seen the reboot, but the original was superb. Probably the most difficult film I've ever seen as far as staying engaged is concerned with for me (the Russian didn't help), but it was brilliant nonetheless.

Eye in the Sky - Good sense of drama but it was really sad seeing Alan Rickman. Will miss that guy. Great actor.

Wife is now watching Strictly on catch up and I'm about to settle into Narcos S2 episode 1.

Ooh yeah.

Deadpool. Irreverent. I quite liked it. Loads of jokes, enough that it didn't matter when some fell flat. Great fights - I liked Gina Carano trying to put Colossus in an arm bar.

Fantastic.

A great film with so many great moments, quite eerie when they end up on the wrong side of town and come across the ducky boys

CA: Civil War

Yeah enjoyed it, much much better than the dire Ultron. Liked the way they were driven apart, and then when you think they're friends again.. BLAM.

Also liked the addon team members appearances, worked well. The younger spiderman was very good.

Solid 8/10

London Has Fallen

The first film, although middle of the road action flick, wasn't too bad with its flaws. It was watchable and had some good sequences.

This sequel however is dire. Cringe worthy in places.

2/10

Sausage Party (2016) - 5/10

A different animated movie with very crude sexual humour throughout and on the nose yet thoughtful religious commentary.

Some very funny scenes and the plot manages to hold the premise together, but the over-reliance on swearing, sex and drug humour loses its comedic and shock values long before the end.

Overall, the silliness and offensive humour manage to be both refreshing and tiresome.
