What frying pan to get the missus for xmas?

Another vote for the Meyer Anolon professional range, they are utterly superb. I've got a few but the 24" Saute pan is useful for just about every recipe.

I think your name is quite suitable considering you're using 24" pans! :D

Le Creuset another vote.

A liitle on the expensive side but fairly indestructable and easy to clean makes them a winner for me.

LOL at some of the funny replies - we all creasing here at work and I appreciate all the suggestions :)

In that case you only have one option and God it's a good option

they aren't just good they are brilliant. Got 3 myself. Like all top pans the non-sick is very robust. But years of using metal utensils will damage it. So if you are looking to keep them in good condition for life, use Teflon utensils.

Buy her something proper for christmas, like a real nice necklace or something, then put it inside a box for a pan.

Is wooden utensils suitable?

is this a troll?
your buying her a frying pan and your getting a toothbrush?
I got a frying pan from my gf for Christmas a couple of years ago. Really good present tbh, I've used it loads. Much better than £50 worth of tat that goes in a draw never to be seen again.

As for people who can't lift them, my mum uses them fine, she's 4'11 and not what I'd called strong even in the slightest, so I'm sure people complaining are just playing weak.

It's undeniable they are heavy pans, it just depends what sort of woman is using them I reckon.
Some women just get on with it, other women moan that they've broken a nail and have a 20 minute fit about it (drama queens I guess?)
