What game has the best graphics?

well id have to say crysis and metro look stunning like everyone else says lol but hawx and BC2 both have really really good cloud/smoke effects when maxed out and also a massive thumbs up for arma2, all maxed out with a good draw distance and maybe a few mods like warFX it feels much more real looking than crysis or any of those other games. i think its gritty and less enhanced lighting etc make it feel far more real. crysis is far too paradice like and glossy as is metro. cant really explain it but arma2OA looks beast basically :) especially the ground detail if you have it all turned on

I read somwhere that Dirt 2 Dx11 looks no different than dx10..? Found some screenies..

Still a superb looking game.

Technically it is probably Metro 2033, but i suppose best graphics is subjective, so for me it is BC2 on max and for some reason Modern Warfare 1 still does it for me, it's just so slick.

I remember when BF2 was the shiz graphically. I really pray BF3 is just an updated version of BF2.

I fall somewhere between BC2/FC2 and Crysis. GRID looked pretty intense, but not PC.

I still play BF2 every saturday with my mates....

I agree with your hopes for BF3, I hope they port the destructable enviroment from BC2 into BF3.

Tanks that can drive over pebbles and fences etc.....

Fingers crossed.

I thought that the DX11 focus was just to perform the same actions as DX10 but with greater efficiency without concentrating on any new additions.

I'm not certain though, maybe the water effects were enhanced in DX11?

Crysis due to high view range and incredibly detailed textures compared to most fps games also the vegetation alone is brilliant whereas in some current games like BFBC2 some of the trees look not that great up close.

I really like Just Cause 2's graphics. I guess it's slightly cartoony, but when you are flying it looks pretty awesome.

Overall graphically best game is quite hard to judge. For me I'd probably say crysis as a lot of the game seriously impressed me and then the air raid/AA guns on the beach at night looked literally real and the graphics later on where also nothing short of stunning.

Metro 2033 does "some" things better, but the game is no where near the scale of crysis. The and light effects in metro are quite easily better than all other games, but the character models are nothing new and the outdoor sections of the game look utterly rubbish compared to the underground environment.

To throw in a wild card, playing the marine campaign on AVP on max everything with dx 11 effects definately has its moments.

I'm going to throw a spanner in the works here and say;

Maybe no the most realistic looking game but by far one of the best looking games I have played is Resident Evil 5.

it does add new features as well, like DirectCompute and Tesselation

For character models its a pretty good contender to be honest. Just needs vastly higher res textures on the environment to be up there with crysis.
