What game 'hooked' you the most?

Everquest had me hooked for over 3 years. I started when the velious expansion came out and kept making new characters.I then moved to the euro servers and made a warrior and kept with him all the way upto lvl 64. Then i made a berserker and leveled him upto 65. I gotta say my first ever Kael raid was when I really got hooked on the game as a whole new world opened up (Raiding).
I've never been hooked on a game like i was with everquest.

Dungeon Master on the ST..man I was obsessed with this game
always looking for a betterw sword...the vorpal blade was always a goodun
and the fact you could eat things you killed..and chuck them about to improve your skills..loved the whole spell thing as well..crafting you own and making potions

Medal of Honor Spearhead was the first game I got into religiously, played it all weeknights and nights, It was very buggy but such a fantastic multiplayer and a brilliant community, and made some good friends.
Next came Desert Combat and I got in with the Desert Wombat possy, that game was good, people used to say "yes I've been playing CS since the beta" and its really the best to follow a game through its development and to have the game reinvented every patch.
Then Battlefield 2 last summer, that game took up all my spare time, I remember being one of the first to reach Sergeant, then they changed the ranks
People will still remember me being the bunny hopping - GP30 - Tank whore
About the same time I got into EvE Online and life as I knew it changed, for the better or for the worse I'll find out later in life, but the game is so immense I'm still learning and seeing new parts of the game nine months in with three characters, and with new content every 6 months I really can't grumble at the bugs with it offering so much else from PvP to the politics, industry and logistics.

Q3 vCTF (and its variants - 3W, OSP) had me in its grasps for (3-4) years in and out of clans - loved the speed of it and the tactical challenge of CTF - got bored of DM/TDM pretty quickly. I guess having a great base server helped (ahh I miss those Gifford days)..
Now Im playing Q4 CTF and its no way as good (yet) and even though Ill probably be playing it as much as Q3, I know it wont last as long. Ill give it some time to mature rather than saying its a poor imitation of Q2/Q3 MP that I keep on hearing...
Never really got into HL or CS - tbh the numerous bots on CS put me off, and Valve seemingly not caring didnt help...
Outside FPS only PoP:SoT has had the replayable factor - must have completed it at least 3 times - shame the sequels are no where near - its just simple perfect, a very polished game and I would recommend anyone interested in a 3D platformer to get it...
