What game 'hooked' you the most?

C&C: Renegade. Played it from day 1 in the demo every single day for 3 1/2 years.
R.O.S.E. Online (MMORPG). Came out in January 2005 and can't seem to move away from it (havern't found anything that even comes close to it so far).

1.) CS = almost non stop for 1 1/2 years!
2.) WOW = 7 months non stop!
3.) FFVII = 5 months non stop!

No real addictive games out atm. Close I got to being addicted was a week of almost non stop spellforce 2.

Spent about 29 hrs straight playing FF8, didnt even realise where the time had gone  . Roll on 12 :D

I completed 7 in one sitting... go me :D

I played for so long that my teeth hurt :( :p

Anything Final Fantasy has caused much time passing without realising, likewise with Champ/Football Manager, that's a particularly bad one, completing Halo on legendary took absolutely ages the first time around. And not a PC one, but Devil May Cry 3 had me bashing away forever trying to get higher rated missions...grrr

BBC B computer
Eilte.. played for over 5 years... even ebay'd a bbc b so i could play it again a few years ago lol...

dam fine game!

On the PC it has to be C&C i think.

Raven Shield Multiplayer

UT 2004

Far Cry Multiplayer (at the time the ability to play FPS games on such large maps online was awesome)

For me it was an Unreal Tournament modification called Strikeforce. I played that regularly on the UT engine for HOURS. It was a Counterstrike clone but had such a small community that you knew all the people you played against.

Hey, what was your SF name? I played SF for ages, from 1.26. In-game name was TSX, I played for ICE, BE and WP, all of which got to No.1 on Clanbase :D .

I would say the very early versions of day of defeat, where the game weas more fun oriented and not all this "ooh but in 1944 the number of stg44's in production would mean it would be statistically impossible for there to be more than 1 of these per squad" historically accurate crap their official forums are flooded with. Dod was always about fun but some of the tools on their forum seem to be under the impression its a historicaly accurate simulation and not a fps set in ww2.

God knows the amount of hours i spent playing caen which had tanks you get could inside and shoot from, dod is still a good game but its nowhere near as fun as it was imo. :(
