What going on with the price of dogs

my partner has just picked out a yellow Labrador puppy, cost £1250. our last lab was £750 back in 2008, so not unreasonable i guess.
we bring it home at the end of the month. bye bye freedom :D

you want the whole country to pick up the cost of your pets? including people that dont have pets?

No, all animals, not just pets.

It's our duty as an intelligent species, capable of changing our planet to care for all life here.

Realistically it wouldn't be that much per person & just add it on to tax.

Besides, sadly, many still eat animals, the least they can do before ending their life is give them a good quality of life (which many profess to want from their meals ) so, put ur money where ur mouth is.

I bet you're looking forward to cleaning up all the dog poo & wee around the house :D:D:D

paid £1000 for my cat to have an eye removed last year then another £300 to put it to sleep a few weeks later when it went blind in the other eye
It was recommended to put the cat to sleep for going blind? Blind cats can still have fulfilling lives.

Sadly, it's another lockdown knock-on effect.
More people spending time at home, so they think 'why not get a puppy'? Then reality bites.
Shelters are already reporting an increase in 6-9 month pups being given up. So sad.

My mate at work just got a 6 year old dog a few days ago and when he went home after work the dog wouldn't let him in his garden :cry::cry:

A mates 6 year old dog has just died due to playing fetch with a stick. The dog caught it with its mouth and there was a small tear of the oesophagus. He was in the vets quickly and then to a specialist but died overnight due to shock/cardiac arrest. I can’t imagine how he feels after being partially responsible. I never knew it was so dangerous throwing sticks.

Friend had similar incident happen, dog jumped up to catch the stick but missed, the stick landed but stuck in the ground vertically and the dog come down and his chin went through the stick. Fortunately he made a full recovery.

Sticks are bad.
