What gpu do you have with your 5800x3d?

Right, after a lot of thought i think im just going to put everything i have into the new case, with a new 1000w psu, maybe upgrade the gpu at some point and see how i get on :)

Will try to wait until am6 until i upgrade cpu as at the moment everything is running great, was just a little worried the 5800x3d might of bottlenecked a better gpu @1440p
but after reading a lot of the replies on here, it seems it does ok with much better gpus then i have.

Thanks for all the input so far, its been great reading what you all have paired with your 5800x3d cpu

Hardware unboxed did a perfect video for you today. Cruix of it is at 1440 high setting or above your ok with the 5800x3d unless your running above a 5080.
Thanks for that, its defo made my mind up to stick with what i have for the time being, would be more than happy with those results and good to know i could go up to a 5080 @1440p, yes i will loose a few fps compared to the 9800x3d but not nowhere near as big a difference as i thought.

Will probably be looking for a 5070ti when i finally upgrade gpu so should all be good :)

Thanks again

2070 Super currently. I was planning on getting a 5070-tier card, but the launch being a bit of a shambles made me just sit it out. I'm keeping an eye out for the upcoming 5070 Super to see how that pans out.

It's just about keeping up with the current games I play, but I definitely do feel the age sometimes.

I've got a Nvidia 4070 with my 5800x3d.

I'm not sure whether to upgrade to AM5 and new GPU in a GPU generation or two.

Or try to skip AM5 alltogether and try and get a 5090 2nd hand at some point.

Exactly what i have at the moment, although my 4070 isnt the ti or super....just a standard 4070

I went from a 2070S to a 9070xt - I couldn't be happier to be honest, it's great for 4k and VR for me (Mostly flight sims and the odd FPS)

Also seeing no reason to migrate from the 5800x3d - they seem like the perfect combo.

Despite am extremely happy with my 9060XT - Wished I could get the 9070XT instead but my budget wouldn't allow it at this time. Have no plans to change my 5800x3D at all. Mostly play Flight sims

4080 here at ultrawide resolution (3440x1440).

Although very tempted to upgrade to 5090 - I like chasing numbers and want to dial back some of the AI stuff/improve clarity.

I have no intention in changing CPU at this resolution.

5800x3d with 3080 at 1440p , at some point would like to switch over to 9070xt / 5070ti type performance at this point I will likely skip AM5 and jump on the next new platform

5800X3D with RTX 4080 at 1440p 165hz

Bought 2 years when they dipped below £1k for the first time.
Recent HUB GOAT video makes me think it's a reasonably balance combo so likely keep it as is until I need a full system update and then hand off to the kids.

Yeah, think im defo going to skip am5 and wait to see what amd and intel come out with next, thats the plan now anyway lol

The Super variants are due to launch this year, I doubt they'll be much faster in raw performance (5-10%, there's no cores to unlock so it's really just clockspeed improvements), but are rumoured to come with more VRAM.

The 5070S will have 18gb, the 5070tiS 24gb, assuming said rumours are true.

Depending on price I'll be eyeballing a 5070tiS myself.

Thanks for letting me know, im not in a rush to upgrade anything now as i can play battlefield 6 ( well the beta anyway ) at high frames @1440p...over 120fps :) so will wait to see what the new versions of the cards are like.

This is what I'm waiting for.

Prepared to pull the trigger on a 5090 but if the 5080S comes with decent vram and an uplift in performance at a reasonable price then that'll be the card I go for.
