What have you done to your car today?

Not far off mate !!! It's just at end of Polish Ghetto district in Nottingham... Like when 13-14 year olds want to sell You heroin and ladies of the night are all over the place.... People get stabbed/robbed ect.
Just lovely area !!! Its 15 minute Jog from University where I work. And ofc Ghetto/hour rates aka 30 quid. They do Good job there I give them crappiest jobs I dont want to do myself :D Like suspension Bushings or they replaced rear engine mount on my DC2 and You know It's PITA charged me 30 quid ofc I asked how much before gave it :]

Excellent, perfect garage to have at those rates!

I went to Uni in Notts, mainly lived in Lenton just off Lenton Boulevard (near Bag O Nails Pub) and on Harlaxton Drive near 'The Park'. Good times!

Got under the Zed on a nice afternoon here yesterday. All looked pretty clean with no obvious issues or rust visible. Many clumps of dirty caked on parts, but those seem to have protected them from serious corrosion.

going to spend this weekend cleaning the Zed, Murano & Insight, then removing swirls, cutting back light scratches then getting some thin initial touch-up layers onto them on Sunday. Then wash the TT ready for the auction company to pick it up.

that fake carbon splitter looks terrible lol.

I had a simple mate black and it looked alright on my z4! :)
I like Terrible 350z is the ebay chinese copy used scraps project. My DC2 cost me 10 years of NO HOLIDAYS to have it buid on proper parts for ONE YEAR i was living on instant noodles and cheap heat up pizzas to get my Mugen + spoon exhaust.
On Z EVERYTHING GOES besides stickers ;)
Matter of time till i get ABS Nismo front lip copy. Will paint it using brush with hammerite since it will get scratched every single time I leave my parking spot.

I don't mind fake parts, running fake GV lip on my mx5 etc ;)

but it's just the texture of that thing.

Fitted some wheels I have just had refurbished, keeping the original BBS wheels as a spare set, I like the retro look with the 5 spokes, also gave it a wash to send in pictures to the insurance company to sort out my agreed valuation.

Tidy that. Who do you insure it with? I was with ERS via Need2Insure and they refused to give me an agreed valuation despite being on a secure gated driveway, because it wasn't in a garage...

Interesting drive home from Weymouth...

Thought I'd lost 1st and 2nd completely but then learnt that 1st and 2nd were in the spaces 3rd and 4th should be in... And 3rd and 4th were in the places 5th and 6th should be. 5k rpm at 70mph was deafening.

Turns out the linkage had come lose on the gearbox. Simple refix and a bash with a spanner and all is well. I seriously had thought the gearbox was ******

Fixed a loose glovebox hinge that was causing an irritating rattle, and fitted a new trim piece holding the gear gaiter in place so that also doesnt rattle and doesnt leave the linkage visible.

I kicked it as I walked by it in a final show of defiance before I clean out the garage this weekend ready to start taking the engine out.

Greenlight have some old rules i find, i couldn't get insurance on my car with them as i hadn't been driving a powerful car in the last 2 years. really odd considering i have owned a lot of fast cars over the years.
Ah that wouldn't have been an issue for me. I originally took my policy out on a stock MX5 then fitted the turbo kit drove it a few months @ 200bhp then increased it in stages
