They are black. Both my 220’s have had black grills. Yours shouldn’t have the chrome bits either they must have been added by previous owner.

They were definately grey they are all grey from the factory but painting them is a common change.

And I know that it's not meant to have chrome on a 53 plate but I prefer the final facelift look without the £500+ road tax. I fitted & colour coded the chrome bits myself from another car I stripped for parts.

I’ve always thought the grey grill was only in the 2005-7 models as my dads 55 plate Titanium x has it but both my 220’s and any others I’ve seen from 2002-05 have been black.
Yes I agree the chrome bits do look nicer actually. I keep meaning to put the facelift tail lights on mine that have the chrome bits on as they look abit fresher than the older style but never get around to it.

Its still on megasquirt (just) but either yesterday morning or Saturday evening the megasquirt crapped the bed, burnt three graces on the PCB and corrupted the firmware.

It still runs/drives fine but I can't connect or do anything with it.

As far as free I've butted heads with one of the guys behind Motorsport electronics since they came on the scene, tail end of last year we got chatting and developed a bit of mutual respect and he offered to send me a free unit for me to give it a try and see what I thought and give feedback and test future features etc
 
I've just had two 19" alloys straightened at Primo Alloys in Guildford. It took them exactly 1 hour to do both wheels. Incredible!

Very happy with the service I received, and it looks like my vibration issue has been resolved. Now I have to buy two new tyres because the shoulder on one of them is knackered from the alloy being bent :(

Agreed on colour coding. Nothing wrong the duct itself I dont think.

Personally, I got my front wheels re-balanced after getting some pretty mental vibration at 70mph on my morning commute. Never had to get wheels re-balanced before (without changing tyres) and these tyres were new 4k ago.
