What have you done to your car today?

The story is tragic.

Bought the car at 12 months old. Dealer had 'helpfully' refurbished 2 wheels because of minor curbing. In generic silver, not quite the OEM finish.

Put up with it for a year. Curbed a wheel slightly, perfect excuse to get all 4 done properly in the correct factory finish.

Wheel Refurbishment 1.

Collected car. Took it home. Removed all 4 wheels to apply sealant. Dropped one, landed face down.

Took it back a week later, for Wheel Refurbishment 2.

All was well. Few months back got Pilot Sport 4 fitted all round surprisingly with zero rim protection. Few months later, entering a multi storey carpark with those ever handy yet largely pointless high curbs, crunch.

Wheel Refurbishment 3

:(
I feel your pain! I had all 4 wheels done on the TT, within a few months I had an accident with a hidden rock when passing another car on a narrow country lane, that meant refurb 2 for one wheel. Then within the same year I had a blow out causing the same refurbished wheel to hit the floor, refurb 3 for the same wheel!

Actually gasped at the 'dropped face down' bit, not sure I'd have been able to keep my dialogue neighbour-friendly if I did that :p

I'll bet that he didn't keep his dialogue neighbour friendly. :p

To be honest, when I work on my car on the driveway, if its not going my way I swear like im deranged...

This is absolutely wonderful. It makes me miss mine and wonder if I should have been so hasty in selling it.

Rare you see an E92 these days that hasn't been ruined by an idiot with no taste, so good to see a great example such as yours as they really are very handsome cars.

Heheh thanks man. What model did you have? Yeah i still think the E92 looks great. Looks nicer than the F30 IMO apart from the M models of course.

Iam getting on a bit, so no Chav mods hehe. Its been really rather reliable in the 3 and a half years ive had it, though i don't do many miles. Its quite loud so maybe i get some chav points for that? :D Catless downpipes and M performance backboxes.

I had an e46 330cd msport - it was rubbish.
Overrated handling (no its not great as its that heavy)
Power was acceptable, mainly the torque that did it but it was no rocket ship
Ride was absolutely awful- msport suspension and 18" low profile tyres.

BMW/Audi ect.. nope i wont be going back there any time soon.

Yep, it’s an old Jaguar for you. :p

Rear windows tinted and added the badges back on

AMG badge is straight and the E63 badge isnt? They're both a little too high up as well. And the fact the font is different on the incorrect AMG badge is slightly jarring too.

Id take them off and try again them unless you want people to think its crashed and repaired. :p

Sorry!

Window tint looks good...... :)

Gaaah!! You’re right!! Every time I walk passed it, “too high...”

Can't help but notice badges that are slightly mis-positioned!
I think the E63 is a bit too clumped up too.

Courtesy of the internet:

Left Side (E63):
Distance from corner edge above outer tail light to outer edge of "E" = 13.5cm. Distance from edge below glass to top center "E" = 7cm, "6" =6.5cm, "3" = 6.3cm.

Right Side (AMG):
Distance from corner edge above outer tail light to outer edge of "G" = 13.5cm. Distance from edge below glass to top center "G"= 7.4cm, "A"=6.7cm, "/////" = 6.8cm (at the thick silver bar).

I hope this comes across as helpful rather than anal. :)

Different strokes for different folks - I loved my 330cd, the only thing that I found annoying was the gearbox and clutch (but given the moon mileage, worn things are expected).
Either the one you had was broken, or you're more of a barge man :)

I can't imagine our esteemed Fox being as uncouth as loudly swearing - but I could be wrong :D

Luckily I have the excuse of being brash and Northern; I think if I did any car work quietly my neighbours would panic!
