What have you done to your car today?

Changed oil and filter yesterday. Also noticed that my front near-side fog light was smashed to bits; spent a while removing what bits of glass remained. Not sure if I can stomach £130 for a new one from Honda, trawl ebay for spares or just blank it off...
ebay deffo your friend... lol

Finally got around to removing the headlights to change the bulbs. It actually took less time than I thought which is a good thing. Did the rear brake lights at the same time which again involves removing the complete light fittings. I noticed that one of my reverse light bulbs have blown and to get to that I have to remove all of the tailgate trim. Manufacturers really need to put more thought into making it easier to change bulbs again, it never used to be a problem. Now they are cramming more and more into ever smaller engine bays while having a sweeping style to headlights makes it virtually impossible to change bulbs in situ. I used to find it incredible when I heard people taking their cars to the garage to have bulbs changed but now I see why.

Washed it again with my new snow foam lance, well the replacement of the previous one that got all gummy. Going to put it's new car cover on tonight too. Spoilt car.

Hi there

Gave the Vette a thorough check over, owner had done a list of jobs but when his back failed he still had steering ram left to do and automatic gearbox input shaft seal.
Upon inspection the PS leak is very mild and the auto shaft leak is none existent, both jobs shall still be done and he supplied parts.

Went through the car checking all bushes etc and looking for fluid leaks, its all pretty clean on underside.

So I changed out rear differential oil which was dirty and gave it all a clean up and got rid of the 40yr old spare wheel and the housing for weight saving and to make working on car easier.

Yes that’s mine too along with a few others.
2009 V8 Vantage manual.
Very cool. Looking forward to get a go in my bosses DBS lockdown notwithstanding. I must have missed your full collection thread! Neighbors who don't get it must be baffled by the Yaris :p

My neighbour with the big house next door has no interest in cars and he likes S2000 the most as he has two Hondas lol.

It's good that after JRS thread everyone has been out buying wheel chocks! Myself included.

Yep got two sets and was just been over safe as I can actually get under the rear with no ramps or jacks advantage of an old car it’s quite high but getting them up in the air makes things safer. I tend to also throw wheels under the far too when doing bigger jobs.

Just ordered new Bilstein dampers for it in an attempt to give the car some actual damping for our rubbish roads, a shame as it’s got brand new dampers on it (factory AC Delco) but parts are mega cheap, the Billies were £300 brand new from Rock Auto, even crazier is an air filter is £5 and an oil filter is £2

Removed the acoustic pad from the bonnet. More induction noise resonating through the thin aluminium bonnet now :D

i have a Audi A4 daily at the moment, just done a timing belt, water pump and thermostat change, put the car back down and one of the front coil springs snapped :mad:

I now have to somehow remove the audi pinch bolt of doom to replace it later this week :(

Ahhh they're fine. Just hit it with some Plusgas, then a bit of heat, followed by an impact wrench and it'll come right off with no dramas. It's always a good idea to have a spare bolt to replace it with though in case the threads get damaged some how.

No idea where my old chocks are - buried somewhere in my parents’ garage I fear. I keep meaning to look for them.

The broken-off 4x4 chunks of wood from the discarded pallet you can see in my photo made fine substitutes :D

this one was pretty bad, ended up having to snap the bolt head off and use the thread on the other end to wind it out.
