What have you done to your car today?

That an alcantara gaiter set mrk? I've just replaced mine for leather ones from eBay, but am far from happy with either. My steering wheel needs a re trim desperately too.

Yeah, the leather ones I bought a while back (both gearbox and handbrake) are thick soft Italian leather, smells and feels great but I fancied a change as leather over time loses the matte sheen and goes shinier.

Next time I get a steering wheel re trim it's gonna be alcantara.

Very good rate..where's that from Robbie? Annoyingly I've already kerbed one of my newly refurbed wheels :( Even more annoyingly the car should have been safely tucked up outside the flat but I had to rush out to babysit for the gf's sister

I've guilt tripped her into putting some money towards it, but it's still pretty gutting seeing as they were only done a few weeks ago!

All 4 of my wheels were done before the weather turned sour as well! It's a local body shop down here (R and K Body Repair), nice bunch of guys but regularly busy so I just drop the car off on the walk to work and pick it up the day it's done on the walk back - Works out well for me!

I'm down in Somerset Shaun, there's a place down in Exeter which apparently do a fairly good job, but I'd like someone with decent testimonials from people ideally. I want to get the lips polished up ideally and refinish the centers in gun metal.

Where did you get your steering wheel done Robbie? Royal?

It's God's way of trying to get them back to being silver. :p

Was coming back from visiting a friend and joined the M3 from the A34. As I joined the motorway there were cars just in front in lanes 1 and 2 doing about 50, so I moved out behind them, looked over my shoulder to check lane 3 was empty and began accelerating and moving out to lane 3, which was a slight error on my part as there isn't a lane 3 on that part of the M3 :(

Only realised what I was doing when it was too late. I tried to pull back in but glanced the central reservation, and then bounced over and clipped the rear end of the Insignia I was attempting to pass.

Thankfully we both managed to keep control of our vehicles and made our way over to the hard shoulder. He had a couple of cracks in his rear bumper but thankfully was okay apart from that.

As you can see from the pics, mine is scratched right from the front to the rear on the off-side. The front quarter will need paint, the door and the rear quarter have some nice dents in them. On the near-side the headlight is smashed, the wing is destroyed, the bonnet is creased and so is the bumper.

It was a stupid mistake on my part, not helped by the crazy winds and rain :(
