Finally gave it a clean, was manky but didnt see the point with the cack weather weve been having recently, yesterday was nice and dry and not too warm. My clay bar had melted into a small puddle in the box tho :(

Went to rebuild the cylinder head... Thought I bought all the parts in February..

No valve stem seals, no fuel pressure regulator o'ring, no fuel gauze filter

So I've managed the grand sum of five bolts to fit the injectors and that's it.

 That was today written off.

Installed the fuel pump, I didn't realise the Z32 one was about 3 times the size, turned into an ordeal. Last time I got into the fuel system I got on fire a bit, luckily no fire this time :p

Erm....any sign of the tip of that spark plug?! I'm guessing not!

Nope that was my first fear, mechanic said I might be lucky and it could have just blown through an open valve, or that it might have just burnt itself away, anyway at the moment it seems fine

How old do you suspect those plugs are and how many miles have they seen?

I'd be too embarrassed to say........

Hahaha That's what regular service intervals are for!

Too embarrassed to say how long the plugs have been in.... So you do know.

ha, it's had oil and filter done every year with the mot, obviously not the spark plugs, I know how long we've had the car but couldn't tell you if and when they were done before we bought it, was quite amazed tbh, must take more care in future, we've done about 30k in it I think and that's over "cough" 5 years, car will soon be 10 years old.

Bought a carbon fibre bootlid. Was hoping to get it on the car tomorrow but with the weather forecast to rain forever and ever I might have to wait to get it on the car.
