What have you done to your car today?

Backed it into a concrete block in the car park which had fallen over. Nice blurred bit on the bottom of the bumper. :(

Will never see it unless you put your ear on the road, but annoying...

.... Acme man, I can see why the stigma from your Celica build log has followed you :p

Was it the tank or the poodle groomer?

If it was the tank I wouldn't have bothered posting about it. :p

Felt a little better, but felt bad for it, when I came into the office and mentioned it and my colleague said he did the same to his 2014 Fiesta ST a few days ago.

I'll gently file the burring off when I get the car home and nobody will know.

Always check the cars surroundings before getting in it, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Atleast it's only visible from the underneath.

After 3 years I'm still yet to scrap/dent either of my cars, (touch wood). I've got some catching up if i ever wanna get like you. Thats both cars in a week now!!!

I was reversing into a space in the dark and didn't see that one of the concrete blocks at the back of the bay had fallen over. Thats my excuse anyway. :p

This is the first time I've actually damaged one of my cars, albeit slightly, since melding the Polo with a willow tree.

I heard a small bump and thought I'd just touched the block, but unbeknown to me the bumper had gone over it because it had fallen over, so I pulled forwards and it dragged on the bumper. If I realised what had actually happened I would have got out and pushed it off of it, hindsight and all that!

Anyway, gearbox and diff oil being changed later, looking forward to, hopefully, a marked improvement. :)

Took a girl from work out in the Focus, as she wanted to know whether the 1.0 Ecoboost was any good. Coming from her 1.5 Diesel clio, must have felt like a rocketship :)

I've put just over 63 litres into what's apparently a 61 litre tank before so I've got no idea what the real capacity actually is. Obviously fuel in the filler nozzle etc means it can hold a bit more than the tank's capacity alone. I won't be pushing it like that again though.

I put 75 litres into my Saab's 70 litre tank once.

I did a few things this weekend. First off, the DC5.

The head unit that was in the car is pump so I bought a Double DIN Android unit from Amazon for £209. They've been getting really good reviews so I thought why not. You get access to the Play store so you can install apps such as Spotify and what not. I was hoping it would cure left speaker not working as well.

Old one.

New one in. I may have to remove it again so I can fit the surround.

Very happy with it and I now have two working speakers! It's better than the one I had in the Evo which cost about £650 from memory.

Onto the Focus which had started sounding like a vacuum cleaner under boost and creating a lot of smoke out the back of it. MPG had also started to drop as well. I don't like spending money on it so I decided to take a look myself, and after a quick Google, it's a common fault for a bit of the hose to crack.

I spotted it pretty quickly on Friday, found a replacement hose on Amazon for £12 with Prime delivery so that was ordered and fitted on Saturday. There's a small breather/sensor that I broke because it was very brittle but a local garage bodged that for free.

The old hose.
