What have you done to your car today?

Air-conditioning was available across the range.

Must be a very rare option, having looked at adverts for loads of E30's I don't recall seeing one with AC, or at least it hasn't been mentioned in the ad and I haven't noticed the button. :p

I guess it would have been rather expensive and not something people considered a "must have" in the UK in the 80's.

Finally gave it a quick pressure wash - Then did a snow foam on it then pressure washed again then a good rinse with hose - That should see it through till end of March when it gets a two day full clean and alloys go back on :D

Almost all of them will be broken at this age so I guess people just don't mention it rather than having to put "AC not working" in the advert

currently updating the ROM on the KLD Headunit (android).

Supposed to be faster than the last rom, was crazy slow.

If this is no better i will be trying to roll back to 4.4.4 and leaving 5.1.01 to units with 2GB ram...

anyone know what the likely cause is for a non working electric window in a 2004 nissan Primera is? and how easy it is to take door panel of and get to the mechanism.

also any opinions about 2002 rover 75 CDTIi

both have almost a years mot and might end up in my pittance price range.

Waiting for my new plates to arrive, then hoping for a dry day to clean the car and get them on!

It's also going in for a gearbox and diff oil change in a couple of weeks, where they'll also hopefully adjust the clutch to give it a slightly higher bite point. After that I'll be saving for a proper set up and some lowering springs, can't wait!

Yesterday I ordered about £1k's worth of parts for the STi

Intake, exhaust bits, interior pieces, boost control.. paving the way for when I have another map!

My missus had that generation of car as her first. She also broke the window by using it in the frost and the cable snapped. New regulator and was good again. Not very difficult just very fiddly.

They look ok, they are pretty comfortable, and the engines I believe are based on the BMW M47 so the engines are pretty reliable. Absolutely no idea on the car as a whole's reliability.

I actually quite like them

Went to see a Focus ST estate today - couldn't believe the state of it for a 4 year old car. These are what, £30k new?

4 tyres right on the legal limit, front pads that have at best a couple of thousand miles life, interior that looked like it had many arses sat on it for many more than the 40k miles it claimed to have and only a single stamp in the book. Remainder scribbled in by the owner whose "mate done them" without a corresponding receipt in sight.

Oh yeah and one of the rear callipers was sticking.

Bodywork was ok though, so some mug will buy it

Thanks. Went for it, and off to pick it up now, few hours on the train then a few hours drive home.

Just bought a Focus ST Estate! Condition and service history weren't up to scratch but looks like they are all easy things to resolve. Bodywork is good!

Kidding.

Finally finished polishing last of my wheels - They are ready to have tyres fitted - Also got some new centre caps and wheel nuts - Not Ford ones with chrome cap on but solid nuts with spinning washer. :)

Ordered a new Xenon bulb for mine.

I think I have now had 4 or 5 replacement bulbs in the past 2 years for mine - it's ridiculous. It happens on both sides and the bulb will get dimmer over weeks/months and then will keep flickering and going out. When the bulbs are swapped over, the problem follows the bulb. Each time I have replaced the bulbs with Osram Original Xenarc OEM D2S bulbs but within 9-12 months or so, the problem returns. The last one I sent to Osram for testing, but they said they could find no problem with it. However they did send me a new one out of good will and low and behold this fixed the problem. Now the other side is flickering and again it appears to be a problem with the bulb.

The one good thing is that I last bought a replacement from Amazon.co.uk last April. I called them up and said it's not working properly anymore and their response was "No problem, we'll send you a brand new one and it'll be with you tomorrow." I was half tempted to ditch the Osram bulbs but since they are less than half the price of the Philips ones AND Amazon are giving me a new one free of charge - there's no point.

Still, it's quite frustrating. It always seems to happen when the bulb is 9-12months old. It might be that Osram D2S bulbs suck, but I wonder if the ballast is a bit weak and as the bulb ages, the ballast isn't able to keep up with it or something? That would explain why a new bulb fixes things, and why it seems to only happen one side at a time, with the older bulb always being at fault over the newer one. Who knows! I'm just thankful for Amazon's legendary customer service.
