What have you done to your car today?

Yes, using the furniture clinic colourant kit. Just match up the colour and finisher on their site and get applying.

Cleaned it (before the rain :( ) and then routed the cable for the Cheetah 550 speed camera thing I brought last week.

It does what I wanted, stays quiet and unlit until i'm in the area of a camera or regular mobile site then lights up and chips in with posh lady voice telling me whatever.

Just lost one layer of skin getting the wire over the transmission tunnel :D

Should do, I think the VAG rear ones are mostly the same? They all seem to die the same way, anyway!

Yes I have the rear mk5 gti calipers on mine, that carry the 280mm discs. Seat for some reason changed these to 255 after on 08 models.

Trust me and give me a price you would like for them?

Tried to polish out me swirls, failed, had some coffee, stood looking at it again, cleaned all the glass, put a couple of heaters in the garage, faffed, came back and sat on the sofa. Had another think, went and had another go, realised I had loads of cotton rags that were not good at removing stuff, just moving it around, threw them, stomped off, back to sofa.

Done with car cleaning.

Haha. True that.

Especially with locations of mobile cameras changing... That database will struggle to keep up with things like Waze.

A warning with the limit before you see the fixed ones, warning with type of mobile trap on locations where they are often used. Database updates when it tells me they are due.
I know its not going to be total but its all I want, enough for when I'm in a new area to give me a nudge, small and fixed in the car.

Not interested in Waze or mobile phone based stuff, my phone stays in my pocket :)

Cleaned it and noticed the cold weather has brought up paint micro blistering all over the passenger side door :(

So annoying to know that it would have been an underlying issue since the respray but has only just decided to appear now after I bought the car in August.

I hate those sort of day's - I don't wash mine often in winter - I only want to scour the dirt over the paint once and that will be end of March when it get's washed and polished to death.

Today I have polished another refurbished wheel - they do look good -almost afraid to take it to have tyres fitted as I know they will scuff rims. -not polished inside till balance weights are on.

Update on the Focus where someone went in the back of me. Courtesy car is a 2 year old Golf 2.0 TDI which is rather nice, if I am to stay in my current job for much longer I think I'll buy myself a Passat CC as a daily.

Anyway, the Focus has been painted but some brackets and stuff broke in the impact so parts have been ordered, it should be ready on Wednesday. The whole process has been pretty spot on.

"Detailed" the wifes Grande Punto with some Triple Wax car shampoo and Demon Shine 'Spray on Shine' :p To be fair it looked bloody good afterwards. I think I'm still reaping the benefits of claying it and applying Harly wax at the tail end of the summer.

I got some odd looks "drying" the car in the rain! :)

Right ive had drawing board out n done all the numbers and nothing adds up. Unless my sarcastic metre is broken, how the **** do you dry the car in the rain?

I would be looking at you gone out aswell. "Nutter over road is 'drying' the car again in the rain".
