what headphones do you own thread - i own dt150's :)

Yeah same here and I'm sure it was just the post man that delivered it. Annoying thing is you can't track the parcel inside the UK because of the postal service they use.

Think I bought headphones in this order

UE triplefi 5 for travel
akg k701 for home
sennheiser hd25-ii decent closed back for work
Phonak Audéo PFE 121 to replace the triplefi 5's

I really like the last 3 pairs in their own ways. HD25's can get seriously abused + give good sound isolation for in the office. K701's are very reviling and sound amazing with games and dolby surround headphone tech and the PFE121's are really nice and small for travelling. I've pretty much stopped using the triplefi's even though they sound pretty good.

The VSonic IEMs arrived today, delivered by a Royal Mail posty so no customs :p

Out of the box the sound is very good, better than my burned in Phonak PFE 012 with both green and black filters. Flight Of The Conchords is my go to artist to check out sound quality and these definitely haven't let me down here.

The 15 pairs of ear tips was welcome but only the light blue and purple hard walled silicone tips had the most secure fit, the foam tips didn't have a snug enough fit so maybe I'll buy some Jays foam tips which are a bit wider down the line although the ones that do fit are good enough.

I don't find the cable too stiff like some people found, can curl it into a loop just a bit bigger than the earphone itself so no problems looping over the ear.

The weight is slightly heavier than the Phonak but they are bit more secure in the ear.

The right angled jack is excellent, I can now put my phone in my top pocket and zip it up without snagging the jack head :D

These seem to be superbly mated with the Galaxy S3, the sound is nicely detailed and spacious. I've red many many user reviews and almost all of them said that the treble came out and the sound improved after 100-150 hours of use so given how they sound out of the box I imagine they will sound much closer to my HD595 because the bass and mids are very close right now, the highs aren't as crystal clear as they are on the 595 but my 595 have 2+ years of use.

The pouch is quite nice, looks different to what some online reviews showed with the pouch that came with those.

Very nice mrk, you have e-mail!
Not received any mails yet!

cheers dude!

So you recommend them ?

First impressions are very positive yes. Will know more after a month :p

Edit*
Just noticed that some of the silicone earphone tips have a foam layer surrounding the inner wall of the top itself, this is what's giving those tips a more rigid feel and cushioning/isolation. Never seen tips like that before!

Arrived nice and speedy then mrk! :)

They are really nice I've been using mine loads, watching stuff on my laptop I use them at every opportunity!

Ended up dumping my Atrio M5/M8's after I got annoyed with the silicone that protects the wire getting tatty as I used to have them looped over the ears.

So decided to follow somebody else in here and got myself some custom Quad IEMs from 1964ears.com. Took about 6 weeks to get them made, then shipped, but these things are in my ears every single day and just keep getting better and better! :D

Definitely the most expensive headphones I've ever purhcased but definitely worth every single penny.

Rubbish iFail picture :(

They look nice but they could have done with a nicer case for them! I'm just as impressed with the VSonic metal latch pouch as I am with the earphones. I just clip them ina nd out just for the hell of it as it feels good, man :D

Currently have a pair of PC360 Sennheissers and they are very comfy and sound great sadly mine have developed a fault so they are going back and im receiving a refund. Now I need to decide on some replacements having come from the Logitech 930 wireless and liking the wireless side but dislike the dodgy power connector socket which i had issues with twice and the comfort of them.

I am curious as to what peoples thoughts are on astro's as i see the A50's are out in a week or 2 ?

Glad to see I was of service, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do mine!

Forget about Astro branded headphones, they will be POO.

If I was to use the headphones with my mp3 player(sandisk), would I need a amp ?
