what headphones do you own thread - i own dt150's :)

Been a couple of months since I got my Yamaha EPH-100's

Loving them even more now, I really wasnt sure I'd tell the difference but how wrong was I, they sound even better now than when I first got them.

Only downside is i find them a bit "itchy" at times with the rubbererised tips, not sure there is much i can do about it though.

For out and about, I use the Westone 3's with (soon to be made) custom sleeves, as the foam ones just dont cut it when bass comes into play

For indoor use, I have Sennheiser HD600's. Very old (10 years) but still going strong, apart from the foam parts on the headband, which I just found out can be replaced!

Had a pair of Sony MDR-V6's with a Xonar D2 for about a year now and I absolutely love them. Sound identical to my friend's 7506's.

I've just upgraded to an Essence ST and there's a definite improvement, if not night and day. Kind of thinking about grabbing some new sub-£150 closed headphones such as DT770 Pro 250's unless someone would like to recommend another.
Mostly listen to electronica/80's/film scores/everything basically and comfort is a major consideration :D

On a side note, my uncle has a pair of modded HD600's (just cables I think) and while very sweet and refined, I think they lack punch. Maybe it's partly down the soft nature of the home-built headphone valve amp he's using...

DT770's definitely have punch. :D

HD600's are definitely not punchy headphones. They are more a laid back headphone. HD650's might suit better as they have a darker sound and more bass. Beyer's will be better though for electronic music.

I have a set of Sennheiser PC363's, sound is great and to be honest the comfiest headset to ever grace my head. But they are too much for what I do on the pc so after only a handful of wears they are back in the box and looking for a new home! The search continues

I currently have corsair vengeance 2000, before I had Sennheiser 595's but wanted a microphone and closed cans so decided to just go for a gaming headset even though I've always dodged gaming headsets. These ones are pretty good though.

Hi Guys.

Looking for advice for a new set of headphones. Budget is £80-100.

I was tempted by the Sennheiser HD 380 Pro which is at the top end of the budget. Is there anything in that price range that beats it? I don't mind going over slightly if it's worth it.

Thanks.

The Denon AHd1100 on Sainsburys for £39 would be your best bet

How are the Denon AH-D1100? Im just scouring head-fi for reviews. Seem a good price.

From various comments I have read on hotukdeals and head-fi they are poor build quality. The Creative Aurvana Live use the same drivers and get rave reviews for their value (having better build quality than the Denon) - these are also usually on offer for around the £40 at various times.
