Can't stand overear earphones that seen so popular, I get far too hot and feel there too heavy. Just got a pair of a-JAYS Three, very nice sound for the price (£31.59).

I use Fidelio X1's with a Sennheiser Pro coiled cable :)
Source is a Xonar Essence STX.

I have a pair of Pro DJ100's as well but I rarely use them now.

Get some special glasses which you pirch on your nose, specifically for headphone use :D

Haha! To make it more comfortable I actually put the headphones on firtst, then put my glasses on and let them sit over the ear cups of the headphones.

Kind of distorts my eyesight but the sound and comfort are sooooooo much better I just tolerate it :D

HD558 with foam removed. Love them to bits! sound is decent but its more about the comfort. I basically can't wear many headphones but senns disappear on my bonce.

I have an early set of Razer moray in ear phones (non plus).

I've since been through a set of moray +'s and numerous other brands (beats, creative etc) and still I keep coming back to them.

I don't usually post on here, but this sticks in my mind because I remember leaving a really bad review on them which OC published. (only 1 star!) When I got used to them and had them pushed in nicely with my new shiny iPhone 4. The sound was awesome and still is. I even emailed OC at the time to remove my review but they didn't :)

don't think i'll ever replace them until the break

Ordered the Sennheiser iE80 last night with the Athena 8x occ hand made cable upgrade. Will.be interesting to see how it differs to the GR07 MkII. I have longed for these for a while though!

The Vsonic is on MM :)

Have to say even with better headphones to hand I find myself going back to my Sennheiser MX580 for music - not sure what senn have done but they have a tactile and clarity I've not found with any other headphones or earphones. Theres something about the tactile reproduction of the sound with them that makes music very satisfying to listen to on them.

just upgraded from my worn out HD555's to HD558... pretty happy so far!

My 558s were the best purchase I've made in a long time. I forget I've got them on, and the open soundstage is great. Also means I don't have to take them off to be able to hear the doorbell or someone talking to me!

What difference does this mod actually make? I'm a bit worried about fiddling with mine and they sound great as it is IMO.

So its been a solid 11 days+ with the ie80 and I'm now fully confident that they were worth the extra cash over my Vsonic GR07 Mk2.

On the plane back from Toronto they isolation was great, you could still hear ambient plane noise but it was deadened considerably. I was blown away by how good a few songs I listened to sounded, most especially Gotye's Somebody that I used to know track. Everything is clear and the instruments, all of them, are perfectly realised. I felt the hairs on my neck stand up as the chorus came through. There is no distortion at high volume either and the bass goes lower than the Vsonic but you get that Sennheiser soundstage thrown in.

Very expensive but if up must have one of the best sounding earphones without going custom iem then these are just the ticket.

Have been using Alessandro Grado MS-1's for a few years and I keep pair of Sennheiser CX300ii in work under for my ear defenders. Also waiting delivery on a Hifiman HE-400's as well.
