VM is much better than sky, fast, but unreliable, when I had sky they said 20mb I got 2mb on speedtest.net
VM does 30mb for cheaper and I get arond 25mb on speedtest
VM for me,
if you can go to extremes, get tiscally or AOL

Virgin since back in the day when God knows who owned it.
Can't fault it, Never any down time, Prob 2 hours in the last 5+ years. :p
Great speed & such good pings that I regularly get accused of rate hacking. :D

I use BE Broadband on their Unlimited package. I get a pretty constant 19Mbps down (downloading at ~1.85MB/s) 1.3Mbps up, pings for games are pretty good (I just ran a few tests pinging google.co.uk like Culina did - average is 42ms) , truly unlimited downloads, connection is solid and I'm generally very happy with it.

Edit: tested latency with google.co.uk and mentioned download usage limit

I use AOL (now part of Carphone Warehouse) for two reasons. Firstly because low ping: 48ms (google.co.uk) and secondly because with the low ping and cheap price, there is no need for me to switch at the moment. I am on an older contract which is more generous in bandwidth (than today's 10GB download) and cheaper than a new contract if you were to sign up today.

BT option 3, upto 8mb, not great tbh. 1 mile down the road from me theres a small village of about 30 houses, bt infinity enabled at 40mbps. No news of it coming to my village which is about 8 times larger.

Virgin Media, never gone wrong, constant great speed, no connection problems, cant fault them at all... apart from the super hub, I dont like that, the wireless range on mine is rubbish :(
