That seems decent if you like to eat good quality food. Though that said as a family of 4 we get buy on less than £600 a month for food, and I eat between 4-5k cals a day!

Nah just very active (sports, martial arts), and carry a bit of mass that I'm happy with but yes I do lift weights but definitely NOT a bodybuilder!

I was thinking the same, I batch cook, put in the freezer and take out what I need every few days when ready to eat.

I'm around 100kg and relatively lean....it's scary how easy 5k cals is to eat in a day . To be honest I eat generally closer to 4k.

It all adds up cost wise though. My local butcher does me deals though which is pretty awesome. And I get 2 dozen eggs from the farm next door weekly.

The kids have a ravenous appétit as well.

Late 30s, mortgage, wife, daughter and 4 week old son.
48k including pensions, with the wife at about 26k.
typical family setup with two cars, holiday or two a year if we can manage it.
Gives us a decent quality of life, but it's certainly not at the point where money isn't a worry of any kind, nor do I think we'll ever get to that point really.

But we both love our jobs and the little slice of this world we've carved out for ourselves.
If you can't be happy with a little, you'll never be happy with a lot.
