I think there's a fair chance that he'll become the greatest British player of all time if he stays injury free.

*ducks* :D

Thing about Bale is he's not just a good goal scorer but when i watch his all round game he can contribute a lot to the team in the final third he is man marked all the time and can drag 2-3 defenders over to him and free up space for others to score. £50-£60 million would be my limit on him but i can see why Tottenham want to hold out for more because he is worth more to Tottenham than he would be to Real Madrid.

He's priceless to me. But I'm a Spurs fan so kinda figures...

This is the thing really, his worth as a monetary value and his actual worth to the club. I have voted for £50-60m but as it stands with his position in the team he is definitely worth a lot more and so the £100m+ is certainly reasonable.

I think I voted over £80m, Its not just what he is worth to the club etc etc it is the excitement he brings, no one else in the squad has you on the edge of your seat "what can he do from here?"

I voted for £50-60 million as a realistic amount compared to other current transfers and interested parties.

If it was to be based on the joy felt watching the football with my dad (West Ham supporter) when Spurs went to Upton Park last season... £200m+ :p

he's worth 40 million to spurs just to help them get in the CL.

but it's his future real are after. Eitherway don't think he's for sale myself still waiting for real to pay off the debt for modric....

30-35mill.

One good season, I personally don't think he has that much skill and will be found out when he loses a hard of pace.

Cash in now Spurs or you will regret it.

The player is quality, no doubt about that. He has over 3 years left on his contract and Spurs don't seem to be short of a quid.

So can someone explain why Spurs aren't telling Real Madrid he is not for sale and that should surely be the end of the matter?
