What is Bulldog? #CorsairBulldog

It's an interesting idea, but it looks a bit ugly and childish to be sitting on my AV shelf. It looks like a Fisher Price toy - My First Console, ages 6-24 months.

We may or may not make any changes, we don't know yet since Bulldog is in its early stages. A lot of things could happen between today and the official release date, hence the community's feedback on Bulldog from all online chatters is vital at this point. We are actively monitoring all comments worldwide to see what the overall impression is from the general public.

Luke from LTT makes it sound like the case exterior is more of a pre-production placeholder, but not seen anyone else say that? Anyone know?

New Corsair logo is much better than the tramp stamp but I still don't see why it needed changing.

What they saw over at Computex is more like a technology demo unit. We wanted to show you guys what we have in mind for a compact 4K gaming machine specifically built for your living room. The exterior is not a pre-production placeholder, that exterior layout is designed to maximize internal airflow so you don't have to run the fans at a higher rpm, which translates to a quieter system.

It doesn't need to look like that to maximise air flow though. Generally people don't like flashy over the top stuff in the lounge, understated is by far the best approach. We like to try and hide some if our geekeness.

If you are looking for feedback, make it look like a high end AV receiver.
Otherwise it'll have 95% less uptake that it could have, and it's already in a very niche market.

They did have badges at one point. I have a black one on my monitor.

It's not that bad looking, I've seen much worse.

I'd be interested to see what home theatre gear they think this will fit in with though
