"Sausage roll, someone else has picked a sausage roll and I don't want to be the odd one out by having a sandwich so I'm going to pick a sausage roll".
The same reason they all wear tracksuits, they are like ants with a hive mentality.

Get over yourselves eh.
you probably are ****** off cos you went to all the trouble of going to uni, getting a degree in nonsense and only earning 25k (estimate)Get over yourselves eh.
Pardon? I've got nothing to get over mate, I'm an honest guy doing an honest job. which.....
... yes I've got a degree to get into (in a respectable, worthwhile subject may I add)....but I don't pride myself on my wage and , which you and 'your lot' appear to judging by your comments
Interesting comment, I certainly wouldnt ever say something like that to someone who earns - say, minimum wage.
Get over yourselves, eh?
There are bad apples in every walk of life, construction is no different.

maybe you wouldn't but here you are slagging builders off for all buying a sausage roll. why. wtf do you care. what if some of those guys were of lower intelligence (and consequently earning around minimum wage) and construction was one of the few jobs they could do? would you still complain if you knew it to be sure?
Evidently, you do have something to get over, if you hadn't, would you really feel obligated to create threads that will almost certainly cause a negative reaction amongst others? Why not keep your trivial qualms to yourself?
lol - ok i'll stop using a public forum for asking a question of others
The Uni at Manchester is having a lot of building work done and the builders use our canteen facilities. Some of the comments they say to and behind female students backs is beyond disturbing. I'd start a fight if I wasn't out numbered 30 to 1.
I've noticed that builders/construction workers behave badly in the day time when they're working or on their breaks. I have contact with them when I’m on my lunch break and I go to the shop.
I’ve come across a few examples of these people being rude, but I’ve only felt the need to speak to someone about it after my lunch just, when I saw a big van with 3 burly blokes in the front stuffing their faces with food and what looked like 3 toddlers in the back (aged about 4-5 at a glance, I could be wrong). The front 3 builders in the van were shouting at the top of their voices to a young girl reversing out of her parking spot all sorts of lewd, vile comments.
What is their problem? Why do they behave like this?
Sadly builders are one of those rare instances where the sterotype perfectly reflects the reality.
Well once building demand increased unfortunatly did the unemployment rate for these type of people.
You know them type of people with no education or social understanding that could not get employment?

I work in construction. I don't like the stereotype being thrown around in here
Not all builders are **** holes. I would say only a small percentage are like the ones you describe. Most builders are good guys.
Pretty much how it is.
I think the thread fails to understand that it's people who are like this, a product of upbringing not job role.
