What is your minimum FPS acceptence level?

Depends on the game...most FPS I do fine with 60+....CoD4 I get angry when it goes below 90, which it does on occasion when people spam smoke nades and such.

I won't play it until the game achieve a steady 60+fps in all details with the latest hardware. Unless there is something out there now that can do this? :o

Sli / xfire set up, very o/c cpu and pref watercooled. Plenty of systems will still run it well but not at 60fps 'all' the time. My last build played it satisfactorily on dx9.

60 for fps games preferably. As with a few others people, Crysis was an exception just because at the time the visuals blew me away and I accepted that level of detail vs framerate.

Quite suprised to see a few people accept a lower framerate for racing games though - from my point of view, a high framerate in a fast paced racer (like Grid for example) is more important to me than in a shooter.

depends on the game, 60+ for TF2 though. If it gets much lower it annoys me and makes me play poo :(. I guess it's kind of what you're used to, as I got used to really bad fps and it didn't bother me but now I can't stand < 60.

I obviously prefer to have 60+ fps whenever I can, but will settle for less providing it's not below 45. As others have said, Crysis plays surprisingly well at around 30-40, but on other games (e.g., CS:S, CoD4, L4D) 60 is an absolute must.

racing games and online fps has to be 60 minimum at all times

for some single player fps games like crysis or gta 4 30-45 is acceptable but only just

Spent years playing RTCW @125fps (Quake 3 engine) currently play CoD4 locked as 125fps. Feels super smooth and responsive, playing Farcry 2 locked @60fps feels sluggish :\

When I play on a PS3/360, say CoD4, Farcry 2 or CoD WAW.........it feels fine at the standard fps 30-60? go figure??!?

when i play cod4 on my mates 360 it does feel acceptable at 30-60 fps

but playing on the pc at 100+ is far more enjoyable

ideally 45+ fps. Anything higher than 445, I can rarely tell any difference. However i can sometimes tell if something has dipped below it.

I find it a REAL chore to play games below 30fps. In fact , i can't do it.

Id say 35, my eyes are fine with things on 30, but if im nice and awake its good to have it at 35 anyway, just incase, but since my new pc iv not had any trouble with low fps

can tell by feel easy but eyes im not so sure

cod 4 is set to 250

125+ is ok and what aim to achieve should feel like skating on ice.

60 meh

I never check what my FPS is I just crank up the graphics level until it starts to struggle then leave it at that setting. I honestly believe that there is no advantage to having a high FPS and it all just fanaticism. Last time I checked my FPS it was on Medal of Honour Spearhead and I was getting low 20's high teens and it never hindered my game play.
