What is your scariest/jumpiest game of all time

Vampire blood lines, only played it once, never completed it and it's probably quite dated now but it was an excellent game.

Agreed, I havent played many of the other games mentioned here but I would be willing to bet this is the scariest :)

The rest of the game isnt actually that scary, but in Santa Monica when you enter the haunted hotel, just this level makes it the scariest game I ever played :D

FEAR did me! 1) the little girl scared the bejeesus out of me, and 2) it gave me motion sickness...so I only played abit of it before handing it back to my friend who had lent it to me!

Wuss! lol

i thought penumbra black plague was pretty freaky, made me jump a few times, i think it just set the scene properly more than anything else

a lot of resident evils being said here, i must have been about 8-9ish when i first played them, use to be alright playing them it was when i turned the console off i started sh1tin me sen :(

but resident evils arnt really that scarey at all to me anymore

FEAR and Stalker at times both managed to send shivers down my spine and make me jump out of my seat.
Never really liked games like Resident Evil and Silent Hill to play them.

Not had the chance to try AvP as a Marine :(
Will it work on Vista? lol. XP?
Also is it going to seem so dated nowadays if I play it?

I found Penumbra Black Plague scary.
I didn't find the Doom 3 demo scary, but the actual game itself could be different, so I can't really pass judgement on that.
I found FEAR pretty freaky, couldn't play that for more than an hour or so at a time.
I do remember finding Resident Evil 1 very scary just watching it at a mates house, but this was back when I was 8 or something.
Thief: Deadly Shadows was pretty freaky too. I disliked the Zombies in that. I never actually got to the Cradle - note to self: play it again and finish it.
Prey was spooky at a few points, the bits that stand out being the bit with that school bus in that cavern, and the first time you see those spooky kids.
I didn't find Half-Life 2 particularly scary, just found Ravenholm somewhat unsettling.

Penumbra Overture & Black Plague, play at night with headphones and no lights, get some toilet roll ;).

Condemned for me.
FEAR was initially scary, but after a while I noticed it was fight, scary part, fight, scary part. Once you know they are coming its not so bad.
My friend is playing through Penumbra at the moment, it sounds really good. I like games that when it is dark you actually can see, none of this faux dark you get like in Splinter Cell.

system shock 2 was very scary...resi 1 was but 2 felt more like an action game, avp as the marine though....urgh doesn't bare thinking about :(

Resident Evil on the Gamecube, and FEAR, Doom 3 on the PC. I'm really bad with scary games.

Definitely Condemned for me, great game but unnerves the hell out of me :p

When I was a kid, it was Aliens on the Commodore 64, that was creepy for an 8 year old :o
