thing is though,its not latin. looks very north west european to me but maybe they just generated it in a mix of those languages instead of pure latin that would explain it.

Dosen't necessarily have to follow a set rule, could be any gibberish. It just shows the outlay and look of text/fonts on webpage etc...

Doesn't have to be anything to do with latin. It could be generated text following some probability distribution function for letter insertions.

Think about how google works as well. The most common results will appear at the top, so naturally big government organisations or popular topics will be the first results.
Selecting words at random from a dictionary is not the only way to produce random text. You can also select letters at random from the alphabet.
There are thousands of words in thousands of different languages in the world. There is a good chance of some randomly generated words matching real words.

Also consider this , if for some reason you choose to encode something that looks like nonsence , then it in someway becomes searchable as if you find web pages that make now sense in any language then you have some code to try and hack perhaps.
Where better to hide your nonsence than a site dedicated to typo metrics, and our sample is not typos it translates succsefully to some degree, the acronyms I checked seem to indicate there is a theme to the text so it's unlickley random typos

That doesnt mean anything. When you consider how many words there are in all the languages of the world, there is some chance that a randomly generated word will match a real word.
There are 456976 different combinations that you can have for 4 randomly generated characters. There are estimated around 10000 4 letter words in english.
That gives over 2% chance of any random 4 character stream matching an english word. Then consider that english is 1 of thousands of languages, the chance of a random word being translated into a real word in any language is much higher.
(using our 26 letter alphabet for the example)
