What makes you proud to be English?

One of the biggest ones would be that our relatives managed to win the war (and yet for some reason we still let Europe tell us what to do, it's pathetic)

Thats the reason the Brittish are refered to as whinging Pomes down here :p
I lived (and worked) in your country for two years.
I wont mention that your Island will soon be known as 'South Japan', but on a diet of weak beer and drizzle, poor england ruled more of the world than the Romans.
I love being English cos the alternative would to be foreign.
Tis indeed an honour to be called an Englishman, and god in his infinate wisdom bestowed this upon only a few of his most chosen subjects.

the fact that our country is tiny yet still feared and included in lists of countries as powerful as ones the size of the US, Russia and France

The weather sucks, a lot of the people are rude and/or offensive and everything is too expensive.

No place I would rather be...
lol, you live in London. He didn't say what makes you proud to be a londoner he said what makes you proud to be English.

The weather is better everywhere else and the people are nicer everywhere else.

If all we will have here are people who are going to criticise what they are then OcUK seems to be full of people who are too selfish to realise what their nation does for them, or the advantages they have... how about we have a little positivity in this thread.

Here here!

Mine:

- Our ability to stay positive despite having bad weather for a majority of the year.

That's a bit exaggerated :p I admit, not everyone is perfect in London, but I think you get that in any capital/major city, and from the listening to the news, a lot more trouble seems to come from up north!

I'm sure that those who are not proud would love to be other nationalities...

Even though we only have a few nice days a year, I would rather be English than many other nationalities, even though we pay ridiculous prices for things, and our road network isn't as good as the French (and we pay more for its up keep - to my knowledge.)
