What "man jobs" have you done today?

Jumped in shower in my under pant's - sprayed it all out with diluted mix of Mr Muscle and using long handled micro fiber pad cleaned shower from top to bottom - Hosed it all down - dried it - Put car wax on two shower panels and buffed up - Cleaned glass side's and door - My job done for the year. :D

Going to have a cup of tea with big slice of Morrisons Signature Triple Belgian Chocolate Fudge Yule Log.

Moved into a new house which had an awful looking conifer hedge with a rotted fence. Wanted to open it up and re-install a new fence. My first go at this!

Old fence after taking 1 conifer out...

All out including roots (What a nightmare!)

Decided to change the entry to the property and added a gate!

Not sure what I want to do with the actual garden yet. Need to level the soil and lay a few stepping stoned from the gate to the front door. Might just add some gravel to one side and plants on the other?

I continued with priming the plaster today. I got one room done, and one wall in the 2nd.

I've had differing opinions on the following... which to paint first? Walls or trim?

Undercoat the woodwork and one coat of top coat, then paint walls and final coat the wood work. It always worked best for me especially if your using a roller.

Mowed the lawn, fixed latch on gate, fixed cube shelves to wall and hung up a clock.

Lots of little jobs done and some more to do - nice to be at this stage now where I can do some finishing touches to the fully decorated rooms.

Just wrote up my 2016 DIY to do list and a couple of big jobs I've been putting off for years which I'm not looking forward to. Desperately need to tackle the pine kitchen (sand and osmo oil) and I'm trying to talk myself into block paving my drive but I'm 50/50 on that.

Cut up some more kitchen worktops and doors to 6"x4" to put on log burner - hell's teeth it get's hot. - Even Holly and Ronnie the cats go into hall to cool down.

Thanks!

How much sanding do you really need to do on the wooden surfaces? It seemed to take me forever yesterday!

Fitted new loft hatch and ladder.

I'm a complete DIY nightmare, so was supervised by my dad! (well he done most of it)

The artex on the ceiling needs skimming so when that is done all I need to do is architrave around the new hatch :-)

We got a new TV the other day so wall mounted it in the bedroom. Technically not today but last night!

Really happy with it, getting there with the bedroom now, just need some bedside furniture and a light fitting we got in the Boxing day sales and we will be almost there!

Also forgot to post this, I did the manly thing and put my hand in my pocket to pay someone to fit some wardbrobes. We were given the doors by a neighbour so the grand total of these cost around £300 for labour and materials...we were getting quotes from bedroom companies of £2000+!
