What "man jobs" have you done today?

Apart from drinking beer right now nothing!

All being well, tomorrow i plan on tidying up front and rear lawns, clean the car and drink more beer.

Completely stripped two gates this morning & starting to repaint with a couple of coats of hammerite.

EDIT: Not having a good day, had pain in right arm for a few hours since striping gates, so I thought take it a bit easier, & have a quiet afternoon repairing my metal detector, simply soldering job, tested it & worked ok, & funny thing it bleep when near my painful arm.
Just had a look & found a piece wire from my grinder has gone through my shirt, overalls & embedded it self in my arm, no chance in hell getting it out myself, too far in, casualty dept after tea I think.

My first accident at home needing a hospital visit.:(

Nearly did something very similar to this a few years back. Stripping an exterior metal staircase with brushes mounted in a grinder. I was wearing a pretty heavyweight pair of jeans and could feel the wire hitting me but it wasn't until I took them off I found all the bits embedded in the front and quite a few red pin*****s across my groin. Nothing lodged into the skin though thankfully

Had loads of new carpets fitted today so I've been shaving the bottoms off a couple of doors, fitting some off-cuts into an under stairs cupboard, and building a shed load of Ikea furniture.

More gardening, coming together now.

Concreted in some sleepers, fitted some timber edging although you can't see it, barrowed through 2ton of crusher run for a sub base and then had some fun with a vibrating plate.

Garden needs mowing now... :(

Finished off filling the skip we had delivered on Friday.

Tons of crap went from the loft, including enough parts to make at least 5 PC's, half a dozen old suitcases that I can't ever remember using , and seemingly half a tonne of MDF offcuts from my current ICE install went from my shed.

Pointing up around the edge of my house where the walls meet the path today.

In the autumn there were these big woody weeds growing up through where the old cement had perished. I poured some Jeyes fluid on them and it seemed to kill them off, but after removing the old pointing today there was a new one growing back! So poured more jeyes fluid on the area and pointed it up. Just hope it doesn't grown through again...

Mowed (most of) the lawn and put lawn weed killer on the bit I didn't mow, followed this by strimmed the lawn edges.

Moved half a bag of sand (the big ones delivered from a builder centre) and then power jetted the patio clean, cleaned up the barbecue, lopped the tops of the hedging and cut down an old dead tree, took several sacks of garden waste to the recycling centre along with an old rusty BBQ.

Doesn't seem to much but took me all flipping day and I've ended up with backache.

Never enjoyed gardening until a few weeks ago and love doing it now.

Cleared the compost heap (supposed to all be in two bins but er indoors is lazy) and all the weeds and so on that'd grown. Levelled it off, put down some anti weed webbing.

Removing these thorny weed things again today. There are loads of them taking over the garden! I'll have to take a pic of one tomorrow to see if anyone can tell me what they are.

Whatever they are Jeyes fluid can't even kill them!

Roundup.

More than likely Creeping Thistle, had it every where here.
