What "man jobs" have you done today?

Just moved house... I spent an hour in the boiler room mapping the system out. 2 boilers, a controlled mixer, 8 zone valves, hot water megaflow, timed pump for circulating hot water.... Flexed the old grey matter.

To turn this smart...I will need 8 thermostats. Christ....

How big is your house?!

It's fairly big. 7 bed, with a detached annex. About 5500 square foot. But I think the system is waaay over specced. That being said... I can turn it smart, and the have control over floors and areas.
Ah that makes more sense. I'm not a plumber but with all that equipment seems like something would be permanently broken judging by the luck I have.

Not necessarily. You can hook up more than 1 valve to the same thermostat, it's simply a wiring configuration so that more than 1 valve is opened from the same thermostat.

It may seem nice to have lots of zones but the previous owner's zone setup may not work for you.

Great shout. I will live in it for a bit and see if any consolidation would be sensible.

The issue with fitting integrated dishwashers without a door front is that the door is sprung with a weighty cabinet front in-mind. I had some spare MDF so I thought I'd knock something together that is half respectable.

Cue 2 year old wanting to help, me being unable to find my good sizeable bit of MDF and therefore bodging two bits together:

Almost unnoticeable I would say.

Still can't get this piece of junk to connect to WiFi either. Super annoying.

Now THIS is a proper man bodge.

i only hope its held on to the dishwasher with either cable ties or electrical tape.

Little conversion on the cupboard and shelves in the living room mainly to accomodate the TV (still need to paint the white shelves above in the green/ blue colour).

Assembled this garbage:

Edit: My mistake, I had only engaged 1 tab per cross section when there were two. Roughly OK now! Can't complain for £25 each.

I have two of those and they are quite sturdy when fully assembled. Now I have them clipped together and screwed to the back wall they are rock solid

Yeah fixed them now. Was just me being unfamiliar with how they clip together.

Second Q ---

I have lost/broken some of my DeWalt drill bits (the packs of 5 to 8 you get). Is there a good replacement kit?
