What "man jobs" have you done today?

Assembled this garbage:

Edit: My mistake, I had only engaged 1 tab per cross section when there were two. Roughly OK now! Can't complain for £25 each.
Are they from Screwfix? That's where I got mine. Were a bit flimsy but reasonably solid once lashed together and loaded with stuff.

Yeah fixed them now. Was just me being unfamiliar with how they clip together.

Second Q ---

I have lost/broken some of my DeWalt drill bits (the packs of 5 to 8 you get). Is there a good replacement kit?
Get these, go through brick like cheese

I got some of them shelves from big dug and they're solid. Cost a bit more though

Bought a kindling splitter (you can use it for logs but gor the axes for that) to help with workflow and general well-being of my digits using the axe to produce the kindling :D

Screwed it down to a log to help with vibration / noise if using it on a hard surface

Split a surprising about of timber offcuts, very quickly into kindling

Very pleasant in the afternoon sun

Surprising how much kindling a small about of timber makes !

And still plenty to go at

Tbh he has nowhere near enough junk in that shed.
oh how i would love a tidy shed, like that :) one of my sheds i had from the fatherin law before he died. it was a single garage bought from some big exhibition, he asked if i was interested and i said yes but not certain it would come apart easily. he helped with taking it apart and i soon found out the garage was 45 years old and he had oiled and greased every single bolt as well as creosoting it every year.
seriously like new. i re assembled it and changed the 2 door config to one door and a solid side. and then filled it up grrrrrrrrrrrr.

Repaired the neighbors gutter, but unfortunately the damage to the render is already done. Not totally visible but fingers crossed it gets no worse. I'll be matching their extension in the fullness of time.

And refitted my daughter's shelf:

Have been meaning to fix my gutter. Its not pouring directly down the render, rather leaking over the front and splashing the walls after hitting the floor where its bowing in the middle, have bought anther bracket to try and fix it.

Its one of those jobs ive put of for ages and the recent rain has reminded me about it, doesn't help that i hate being up that high!

My neighbours gutter has a similar issue, I'm tempted to sort it for them. Leaking gutters are only noticed when it's raining, when I noticed hers this week its because of all that have rain and it sounded so loud.

In all fairness my neighbor would have had limited idea her guttering had broken, and it was just a simple fix for me to do it... So yeah I'd crack on, especially if you're the one whose going to end up with damage.

Well hung tools :o:eek::D

Still going but am happy to say I've put a dent into getting organised (albeit still far off). I can then plan and do jobs properly.

Finished the racking assembly:

Whacked the brabantia peg into the ground. This isn't a good place for it at all but the patio hole is for a far less girthy rotary line.

Threw up an Amazon special wall mount. It is functional and safe but a bit tough.

The TV is now off of a dodgy old IKEA dining table which means where this horrible IKEA thing went is now open for a small table for my daughter. I'll shift the computer behind it once I find the side panel!!

You can just about see my Sonos Beam hanging just beneath the telly. That's a separate 25 quid bracket that attaches behind the TV bracket. Works quite well!
Yo

Decorated my master bedroom, quite straight forward but filled some cracks in the ceiling, painted ceiling, filler came out. Sighed.
Painted all walls, caulked the window.
Today was paint the chimney breast Hague Blue and refill the holes with a different filler. Repainted filled holes and it seems to have taken this time…
Best part was deciding to emulsion the radiator. Was just a bog standard white one before but painted it the same colour as the chimney breast on the opposite wall and think it looks great.
Going to install a little shelf above it for knick knacks.

what's my screen

Please tell me you'll be decorating that room
   The removal man said "oh man this looks like a great project" and I reacted and said "WHAT DO YOU MEAN A PROJECT?". Yeah it really needs some work... and my wife is doing my nut is as she keeps trying to "make it liveable" by spending cash on interim things - without a thought about what we want it to look like end game.

Anyway, killed another few hours and broke the back of the garage:

I did feel bad for the ex-owner - the guy who commissioned this epic workshop/garage to house his motorbikes in, as I sat my ironing board next to his Ducati Parking Only sign.

Soon! Once I am organised. There will be something classic and British in here.
