What "man jobs" have you done today?

My storage is almost finished. We're going with violet for doors on the bottom, but due to a slight miss measuring by myself they will be slightly different sizes  .

Second coat of paint on the living room ceiling.

Third coat this evening.

The dulux emulsion is much better coverage than the cheapy wickes own brand I used in the dining room.

Bit of wood butchering to fit in a second shower niche. They should be nearish equidistance with a central mixer bar type shower.

The one on the right is extremely tight against the cables :D, and no it is not a load bearing stud wall :D

I realise it will all be very tight with a 700mm tray!

Still battered from yesterdays picture rail challenge but managed to slap some primer on the lids and trim bits for the cabinets. I'm now in a position to fit the these and start on doors. I don't think I've got enough MDF tho...so trip to b&q in order.

Also grabbed some legs to support the middle. I really wanted these 'floating' but the weight coupled with a few design decisions means it needs help. I'll attach skirting to these like plinths and use it for secret storage :D

Finished off replacing the rotten wood in the awning above our front door this afternoon.

The stepladder blew over twice, luckily when I wasn't on it!

I got it finished by 5:30 and was wearing a head lamp by this time. The neighbours probably think I'm mad, but it's done and ready for painting when we get a dry weekend.

Got up the ladder and pulled out a ~2-foot tree that had decided to start growing on the roof, plus a bucket full of soil, roots and chunks of old morter. Don't think it's done any damage, but it would have done if it was left much longer.

Cleaned the small SS saucepan -Wife said I am not cleaning it.
Had a go at doing scrambled egg in it instead of plastic dish in microwave.
Won't make that mistake again.

My wickes order turned up today with a huge sheet of MDF which will be our Christmas table for Christmas day and then eventually will be made into a workbench.

The delivery also included some aluminium extrusions which completes my shoe rack. The end pieces are 3d printed.

I also printed some holders for my roybi tools which I keep in the same cupboard. The wife hasn't seen them yet, I'm not sure she's going to approve :D
