What "man jobs" have you done today?

• 5/2 or 7 day programming
• Blue backlight
• Room temperature display
Room temperature DISPLAY :P

Just put a normal thermostat (or wired receiver for a wireless thermostat if you prefer) inline with the demand signal from that controller. Then it needs to be "timer says yes" AND "thermostat says heat please".

Yeah that would work, and possibly be cheaper.
In the hallway we have a wireless thermostat which links back to a box in the airing cupboard to call the boiler. This wireless thermostat has a programmer built in as well, so I can say when I want it on in time periods, and the target temperature. Can I not just get an all in one digital unit which is a programmer/timer/thermostat all in one?

Presumably you just grab any timer/stat you want and swap it like for like? I imagine you'll still want a two unit thing otherwise your programmer will be attached to the underfloor heating system directly -- and I imagine that is in a bad location for normal use?

Yeah I'm sure you can just swap the entire unit - wasn't sure how attached you are to it other than its excellent temperature display!

lol
Yeah that blue display of the temperature has me throbbing every morning.

I think I've found some stuff online to suit now. Will post back my findings when I attempt it.

ooo - I have a Logic Combi ESP1 35 thing... How would I find this? I can view the feed temp as I set this myself but cant see how to read return.

I have no idea, sorry! I did google the manuals and ctrl+F'd for return temperature, but nothing useful came up. Witih my boiler, you need to get it into service mode and then you can get detailed info

Dabbed on some 20mm thick tile boards. Much better than I've previously done but a couple questions below. One was should it be level on spirit level diagonally? It is level up and down on a 1.8m level....

My plan was to put 2 niches either side of the shower but going to struggle unless I chop out the secondary on the right.

As I've already bought 2 shower niches I'm thinking about possibly putting a lower down one. Might be useful for the kid we're soon having at some point? :D it's a downstairs shower room

Im sure the haters will say I should have staggered the boards, but I didn't have enough and don't think it will really matter as I'm putting waterproof tape over it at the end and put stixall glue in the joints.

Its probably the photos but it looks as if the corners are out of level.

Curtains came back from being taken up. Spent way too long fitting picture rail. One tiny bit left to go. I made ample cockups but luckily the mitre glue got me out of a trip to Wickes. I think I have about 10cm leftover from 5 lengths. Almost there............am pretty much dead.

I refuse to believe you have got the picture rail up. It's still only 2023.

Staying at a friend's place for a wedding this weekend. Got in from the wedding reception after about 6 pints last night, around midnight... And the friend reminded me I have flatpack to do as a favour for her. She said the second box was out in the car and I figured I'd bring it in while my shoes were on... One thing led to another and at 2am I had performed my first drunk flatpack :p

Called it a day when I had assembled the main cabinet, the entire lounge was covered in cardboard packaging. Shelves and doors can go on when my hangover subsides!
