What "man jobs" have you done today?

Productive weekend for me, replaced an old iron garden gate with a nice new heavy duty wooden one and added a push button combination lock/handle.

Also our main TV (LG 50PK350) failed this week; a 84p resistor from maplin, a little help from YouTube, 10 mins of soldering and a £450 quoted TV repair bill avoided. Result!

I should replace the caps in my Samsung..

Arrived back and a quick clean of the fish filter and sorting out the pump tube that popped off the pump. Weighing up the cost of replacing the filter and pump with something a bit heavier..

I've had a busy weekend. Had our bedroom re plastered three weeks ago, went away for a week whilst it was drying, so Friday it got it got two wash coats, Saturday I installed an extractor fan in between the floor and ceiling below the room as bathroom was desperate for some extraction. Worked Sunday, today we spent nearly a grand in Ikea on units, painted the ceiling twice and walls once, and installed some down lighters in the alcove where the wife's dressing table will be.

Ikea delivery comes tomorrow! Going to be very busy building that lot!

Fitted new rear pads and disks on my car.
Built up a pine high sleeper (inc wardrobe, desk and drawers) for my son.
Helped re-paint etc my PiL's tutoring school (including some nifty artwork by your's truly)

Esater weekened, you say? I was too busy to even notice. *sob*

Thats the cable from the projector, had got it hidden when i took the pic.

I know what you mean about the curtain:D I was under instructions lol

They are more for show and rarely closed thb, when you hook them back and drape them in, the drop fixes itself:)

New cavity tray over windows. Whole rear elevation about 7m long. Old hessian and bitumen one had perished letting water bridge and soak the inside skin.

Not me a proper brickie wobbling around on bandstands

Plastering finished, so up comes the carpet ready for radiator to be moved tomorrow and decorating next week.

Also replaced the fire trim and fret from shiny gold with old school styling to contemporary black.

Sofas are ordered, so it's just lights, paint, and curtains and we might be finished in about a month. FML.
