What "man jobs" have you done today?

Had the fun of doing this myself yesterday, the downpipes were totally blocked with moss, all flowing again now

Goodo :) crappy job, but great when its done !

Turns out the ball valve was leaking water into it and not floating on the surface, hence the overflow, well, overflowing - new one in and working fine

As it didnt take too long also whipped the front door off and replaced the threshold and rain cill so all the hardware is "chrome" now, as opposed to "brass", looks soooo much better

Flooring in the hall to sort tomorrow, but its now beer and wine o'clock :D

Removed my old leaking hot water cylinder ready for the new one which is being delivered on Monday, hoping that all the connections are the same (I did check first lol) so it should be a fairly easy job to put it in.

Hung the broadband box on the wall. Helped the mrs do some hanging basket planting.

Pulled more weed out of the pond (not much but it needs daily cropping).

Tree dropped. Had been dabating applying for temp 2-way lights, but the paper-work is a bit silly. Quiet sunday morning instead. The final fell was precision. Very impressive.

Upto 3 cords of firewood now :).

bought a small corner unit from Argos to try make space for a piano!
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6180144.htm#pdpFullProductInformation

monitor was too big to fit on the elevated platform bit so made an extension for the top table bit and screwed it on to the original

unfortunately (or fortunately) one of the panels in the flat pack kit was wrong, I ended up getting a replacement and keeping the wrong one - that's what the new monitor table is made from
the alloy was from a friend who also let me use his mitre saw to cut it, black duct tape stuff round the back

the PC case is a bit too long to fit underneath but it'll do
was intending to put speakers on floating shelves either side of the monitor but the ones I have are too big and stick out in front of the monitor, just looks weird so not sure what to do there, smaller speakers or soundbar I suppose

These past few days, I 'have been mostly....

... clearing the house for new flooring / carpets, building a trampoline (for my son, not me :p), mowing the back lawn and then putting all the furniture back again.

And not that it's a man job but spent this morning building lego models with my son. For his benefit, naturally.

That's very neat but where are you going to put all the junk that is mandatory for PC desk. :D

Installed outdoor tap, for some reason the tap was inside my garage and isn't controlled by the stop **** in the house... 9m of copper piping later and jobs a goodun. Now it's outside, ready for me to fit a Scarecrow and stop the cats from doing their business on my lawn.

Had a mega bonfire on Thursday which I at one point thought was going to collapse. It did a little but was contained by the stones. 15ft flames courtesy of some self lighting barbecue coals and lighting gel. It was smouldering for 48 hours!

Once it had cooled I removed all the stones that were surrounding it and laid them out next to the fence where I've recently dug up pure weeds. That way they'll kill everything underneath and stop those cats pooping there.

Started ripping out the en-suite pending a full overhaul - once the wife decides what colours she wants. One minute it's black walls, next it's white!

Had a central heating marathon this weekend...

Must have a blockage between the header/overflow tank and the rest of the system as it took 24 hours to refill the system (6 large radiators, 2 small radiators in a 3 bed semi) after being drained to remove all the cleaning agent I added to the system last weekend.

System running nice and silently now.
