What "man jobs" have you done today?

Captainrave 1, Rat 0.

Although it did seem to enjoy the first batch of poison and took it all, it didn’t come back for more of the second batch. ******* chewed through the decking, then through the wall of the summerhouse and then into the desk drawers (fortunately the only thing it couldn’t chew through was the armoured cable). The bird seed will in future be stored with our cats.
You might well of got the first one but they travel in packs

After cutting down a load of trees, fixing mums cctv, leaking shower, toilet seats, replacing 5 fence panels and replacing a load of slates on her garage roof we returned home and the washing machine decided it was time to give up the ghost with a very large bang. New machine installed now and I’m secretly glad as I hated the old machine as it was a pile of garbage. It was a haier machine and we had numerous service call outs for the control board blowing time after time until it eventually let go somewhere else. 2 years and 6 months old door leaked from day one dial for wash was rng I would thoroughly suggest anyone looking do not buy. New one is a Bosch unit so I’m hoping it will be better

Been debating about when I rebuild my shed/cabin this year, what to do with existing tools and "stuff" in there as I don't have a garage to store it all in. Was thinking of possibly jacking the thing up and sliding it over accross the garden just with no floor (it's all rotten) on top of the astro turf, or maybe I could put some matting down. Then it would be a kind of stronger "temporary" structure. By temporary, such is the nature of my man jobs, this could mean for most of 2025. ;)
Step 1 - declutter brutally lol

Took down Christmas tree, all chopped ready to put on fire.

Went to Screwfix got some wagos , box and 1.5mm to fit additional light in porch.

Same - tree and everything packed up.

Also did a question for my assignment, and almost finished some changes to the guitar.

Chaps - I asked this before and can't find it.

Those crap IKEA traps you have to use with their sinks -- I need to connect it to a solvent weld 40mm pipe. At the moment I've got it tucked in but I think I am getting some smell coming back through.

Someone linked to some connectors?

Thanks!

Here in the east we had a mild dusting overnight that I’d have needed to get my callipers out to measure the depth of.

It’s already gone thanks to it being 6C here and 10-11C is expected by lunchtime.

One of these (to change to a standard UK trap)
