What PC games are you playing?

I'd disagree with this, but the choice is yours.

I say play the first and once you get through the Citadel and get your own ship you'll fall in love with the game.

Those first few hours can be a struggle

the combat is better in 2, but the first is a far better game.

I completely agree with this, the first couple of hours are a bit meh but after that it's ace.
I played this game on the very first day it came out and I remember near the end it took me 3 weeks to get back into the game and complete it as it bored me.
I've now just finished replaying it and this time I didn't get bored at all, it's such an amazing story and I've no idea why I got bored the first time

Oh and back to the main point, definitely play the first as the story is great and the ending is awesome. It also helps you understand the 2nd part.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning worth a pickup? On sale on Steam alongside ME 3 and Crysis 3 which I'll be picking up tomorrow

It's good fun, if a bit incoherent story wise.

I'm really enjoying Tomb Raider - Square Enix are amazing - looks amazing and runs like a dream, even on my GPU!

Tribes Ascend - Playing in season 4 of the EUTL so this is pretty much all I am playing right now.

Recently finished Hitman Absolution and Tomb Raider though.

Oh and had 2 solid days on the Titanfall beta :)

I recently finished Tomb Raider and am now dabbling in Far Cry 3. Much skinning.

I can't believe how epic they've made some of Tomb Raider - OK, it's a bit on-rails much of the time but it's a hell of a ride. :)

Far Cry 3 any good?

I picked up Mass Effect 1&2 over Christmas. I have tried to play the first game but I just can't get into it. Is it worth just skipping to Mass Effect 2?

ME1 is amazing, just give it a few hours. There are some epic storylines and while some of the levels are a bit samey, it's probably my favourite of the three. Don't let the fact it's aged a little and a bit slow at the start put you off. You *will* be rewarded for sticking out the slow beginning. :D

Make sure you at least have LotSB DLC for ME2 because that is superb!

i picked up the original Far Cry at the weekend, only played 5-10 mins of it so far.. not sure how much more il play tbh

In its day it was an epic game. But badly dated now. I tried playing it a few months ago after having fond memories of loving it........30mins in and I was lit WTF, why did I ever like this game? lol :p

I loved Tomb Raider. Really enjoyed it. It felt like they got the balance between progression, exploration, unlocks, story and challenges just right. I completed 85% on my first play though, which I was pretty impressed with seeing as I just blasted through it.

I only played a few hours on FC3, and to be honest it suffers just as most roam type games. You just wander off and lose track on what you are supposed to be doing. But to be fair, I did enjoy it, and if I wasn't so intent on getting upgrades right at the start (you achieve them by hunting/skinning specific animals) I would have probably seen much more of the game by now :D There is a lot to do and for the money they are asking in the Ubisoft Steam sale I would definitely take a punt, but that is just me.

I started AC Black Flag. I'm a big AC fan so loving it already. It's also the first AC game I haven't played on Xbox. But since i'm using an xbox controller it's pretty much the same. I've already ran into a few game breaking bugs and i'm only about 30 mins into it, luckily they have been at the start of a checkpoint so I could just reload.
(the initial brawl in the pub, for the entire cutscene my character was invisible, when the game started and you have to beat a bunch of people up, I was stuck in between 3 random people...couldnt move, jump, punch- and those people didnt move...so I was stuck.

I'm also replaying Sniper Elite. V3 will be coming out soon so Rebellion will probably be sending my a couple of review copies as always - so looking forward to that.

I've been playing Oblivion as part of my ongoing attempt to try and invest actual meaningful time into all the games I've picked up through steam sales as impulsive buys (codename: Operation Never Going To Happen).

I originally played it on xbox but gave up after a realised it was becoming a chore to play. I got obsessed with optimum levelling which sucked all the fun out because I ended up just obsessively watching skills. You know you're in trouble when you find you've just spent an hour repeatedly throwing your character off a bridge to increase acrobatics. Sadly I gave up before I ever tried the Shivering Isles which I'm told is really good.

So...trying it on PC, blinged it up with some mods and it's okay. But I can already feel myself getting frustrated with the levelling because I chose bad skills again.

Just finished F.E.A.R. , which I didn't much like to start with, but enjoyed greatly by the end (favouring the shotgun over the crappy machine guns improved the experience greatly)

Now playing Mark of the Ninja. It's great, really tight controls and puzzley-stealth - I'm already (only 1.5hrs played) finding myself trying to "perfect" the levels as I go. Could be a long haul.

I'm still on Alan Wake - which I gotta say once you get a bit further into the story is pretty good :) Currently just around the end of the 3rd chapter (of 6 I think?)

And as for my ongoing (never-ending?) games - Rocksmith 2014 still, Hearthstone, TF2 and a little bit of Dungeon Defenders lately which is actually pretty fun too

Been playing a lot of 7 Days to die & Garry's Mod Prop hunt in the last few days (thanks Steam sales). Absolutely love Prop hunt and 7 days is really growing on me.

Is it worth buying the Enhanced version of The Witcher 2 for 15 off of Steam, or is there anywhere else to get it cheaper?
If not I'll just settle for the normal ed. for 11.99EUR from G2A.
