What PC games are you playing?

I'm currently waiting for my Steamdeck OLED to arrive. I'm thinking of making Witchfire my first purchase although I have no rest for the wicked, elden ring & dlc and a bunch of steam backlog to test on it.

I played Balatro a bit, managed 2 or 3 runs with various decks but not interested in playing it any further. Was a fun 5 hours.

Tried Metaphora refantazio, I had a feeling I was going to hate it because I grew out of jrpgs a long time ago and I'm put off by the typical whiny teenage protagonists. However, I gave it a chance. And yeah, there is an annoying sidekick who is a tiny little fairy girl thing and I was just like yeah this is wrong. Also hated the art style.

MW5:Mercs - modded with YAML,Von Biomes, Coyotes and whole load of other mods. Used to play Battle Tech TT way back in the day (also MW2 ) and really enjoying the fact I can load up MW5 and blast though a few missions at a time and I don't have to commit to long play sessions. (Mind you looking at my played hours 1378 -that's a hell of a lot of casual sessions)

Star Wars: Jedi Survivor. Runs about 20fps on my rig but that's not enough to put me off. Thoroughly enjoying it. It does seem they reduced the number of planets but just made them bigger this time around. So much to explore!

Just started the Spyro Reignited Trilogy. About half way through the first game. I've had it since it was in that humble bundle with Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and just never got around to playing it (Got the bundle for Crash really), wanted something a bit easier and relaxing after the last couple of games I've played.

Not sure what the devs were playing at though. In general it runs fine, but you can't go above 120 or it breaks and according to pcgamingwiki there are one or two spots in 3 where you will have to temporarily drop down to 60. Unreal Engine 4, originally out in 2018 (console version), ground up remake and you are tying stuff to fps, just bizarre.

Been playing FarCry6 which is a good game, plenty to explore and some nice guns etc, but far to similar to previous games and goes on a fraction to long so start to become monotonous and feel like you want to rush it. And once you upgrade the weapons, especially the Sniper guns it becomes trivial to just snipe everything and waltz through the game.

So put FC6 on hold and started Monster Hunter World for the 4th, 5th time. This time something has clicked and I’m having fun exploring the maps learning the monster to farm parts for my armour upgrades and progressing through the content. Even though Wilds was only recently released there are still a lot of people playing Worlds and a lot of high level players who will respond to SoS flares and help take down the tougher monsters, quite a few will also offer tips for the game, all in all fantastic.

Did a 100% playthrough of Ender Lilies:Quietus of the Knights a couple of weeks back. Really enjoyable metroidvania with a great art style. Now bouncing back n' forth between Monster Hunter:Wilds and KCD2 after practicing the combat a bit more ( still think it's the worst part of the game ).
